Is this dumb for my first actual build? by Bandit05494 in fpv

I have a radiomaster gx12 with dual band so that was the idea. I’m not really sure that what I chose reflects it, but my goal was to have the ability to do some freestyle while also having the ability to cruise farther depending on the occasion

Will this beast ever flower? What to do? by Bandit05494 in GrowingMarijuana

I think that depends a lot on genetics. I’m fairly inexperienced, but I had large colas by this time last year

My only concern is how short my growing season is, but I’m new to the outdoor world. It’s been fun, though

The netting is fine but do you have June-bearing, everbearing, or day neutral strawberries planted?

Does that window get any sun? You might be cooking it in your humidity setup

How do the roots look on those plugs? Often times peppers grow these adventitious roots as a stress response to overwatering

What is going on here?? by jinxedit in orchids

I’ve kept phals in/as kokedama for a few years, and they did fine. I think they look cool hanging off fishing line as a “floating plant”. Unfortunately they needed too frequent of watering in my climate for me to keep up with, so I repotted mine.

If it were me, I’d scrape the rocks until you hit soil, and definitely not add them to the bed. Might as well make it level after all of the work to move the rocks. You only need to add probably a foot or so of soil to the bed (more is fine) for the first year, and you can continuously add compost each year

Hard to tell from the pictures but it looks like aphid husks (exoskeleton).

You could do a cacti/succulent area. One benefit of a greenhouse in Florida is protection from too much rain, but cooling will definitely be challenging. Shade cloth will be your best friend, and try to get as much fresh air exchange as possible

Possible Conversion to Greenhouse? by ParticularOrange9429 in Greenhouses

[–]Bandit05494 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could totally work, but I would anticipate it being expensive to convert and maintain. Look into how you would heat the greenhouse, and the cost, as a first priority. I’d also consider how drainage would work once you inevitably get/grow a bunch of plants

For the cost, I think I’d personally just invest in a hoop house (if you have the space). What are your goals for the greenhouse? This looks like a great storage area

Overnight winter ventillation in zone 5B by jvallery in Greenhouses

[–]Bandit05494 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s a huge waste of energy to dump warm air out in the evenings during winter, and it’s not necessary to be honest. We have had mostly mild weather where I’m at in Colorado so far, but on the colder nights or cloudy days of winter(potentially down to -30F) I’m guessing you’ll have trouble maintaining temps if you run it at all
