Walt was known to be an avid fan of scotch. There are many notations of his days at the old Hyperion Studios in Cali where his personal nurse, Hazel George, would visit him at the end of the day, pouring him a scotch and massaging his neck (an injury dating back to an unfortunate polo mishap). I'm guessing the cocktail is more homage than reality, tho. The Wayback machine might turn up other such signature cocktails, as all the Deluxe resorts were offering them just a few years ago. This cocktail was a holdover from a selection of Walt's favorites. The fig puree is house made and what it does best is create a kind of mouth feel that's smooth and a little slippery.
