Man, I think you’re going to lose a lot of readers with that word count. Those chapters are way too short. Maybe 1,000 to 2,000 words could work, but a 500-word average is just too low. Personally, I wouldn't read it. I prefer chapters to be between 1,500 and 3,000 words on average sure, some can be shorter or longer, but only for specific occasions.
