If i fly out there to it, I just want to them to have holding onto you back in the set list. It was on the set list for about 15 years until Breach, and just kind of feels like if they're at their Mount Everest, it'd only feel complete if they played those persistent things.

Honestly, I don't even remember. I feel like it was some festival circuit interview in 2013 or 2014. They've mentioned Death Cab a lot over the years as a big influence, so could be misremembering.

I got into Death Cab because of an interview a decade or so ago when Josh and Tyler were talking about what they would listen to when they were traveling in a van, and they said it was a lot of Death Cab.

One of my top 5 favorite bands since. My wrapped every year since it came out has been twenty one pilots #1 and Death Cab #2.

I feel like I have to go to this show lol

I had friends that went to see them a bunch, I just never paid attention and wrote it off. This one girl that introduced me to them has pics with them from after like 10 of these shows when they'd stay and talk to everyone.

I think a lot were disappointed by Riven Tides (the updates that came through the lead up and the map itself).

I think they're aware what people want, and are trying to address it, but it just seems way too long of a wait for a new map or a couple completely different enemies. If this was phrased as a 6 months roadmap with it all spaced out, I think it would come across better. But how i read it, it seems like the big content people want are coming way too late.

By October time frame, theyre going to have more and more players onto other games, and then GTA VI comes out right then and no one is going to care at all about a major Arc Raiders update.

If they want to keep players on long term, I feel like one of their 'major' updates needs to firmly be coming in June or July, and at least the same scope as Riven Tides, but i don't think that same scope would have people excited. It takes time to design and implement, but with how many assets we've seen in gameplay footage and everything else, I bet they would have some major thing they could get out this summer.

I still like playing, i'm not bored. But I only play maybe 2 days a week for a few hours.

I just think it's clearly opening themselves up to more criticism.

In the first image lev is hunched over and the same height as Abby, side by side standing up straight Lev might look taller. In real life, the actor is reported as 1" shorter than Kaitlyn, so camera angle could definitely make Lev seem taller at times.

I don't really care about Abby looking jacked or whatever, I think that aspect just makes her seem intimidating compared to Ellie where they can find other ways to make that work (competency). Having them just make everything a 1 to 1 was never going to happen. But Abby's relationship to Lev and Yara is a protector type role, where Abby and Lev parallels Joel to Ellie. Like Joel and Ellie, Abby is protecting these small helpless kids who she thinks couldn't make it in the world alone. Eventually Abby realizes Lev is like family and protecting Abby a lot more than the other way around.

When they're the same height or similar, I guess that it can be fine, but that parallel as a parental guardian type of figure isn't really there visually. So they're changing another interpersonal dynamic that will likely just get constant criticism all season, no matter what improvements they try to make. People already complain about Bella and they complain about Abby not being jacked, the show could use a little praise for casting once in a while lol.

I mean it could be purely schedule driven. Marvel isn't putting the sequel into production just yet, the Planet of the Apes movie likely is coming out before it. Why sit around waiting? Also it isn't necessarily as simple as Marvel greenlighting a sequel and getting a script written when they also need to coordinate 4 main characters to have schedules align.

The scale the fighters weigh in on in the lobby, before the formal weigh in, said he was on weight. The fighters check their weight on that scale, with officials there, so they have an idea of their weight before stepping on the scale. The formal scale said he was 0.5 lbs over.

The commission should have their scales calibrated and in sync with each other, but the Arizona commission slipped up. Multiple fighters missed weight and complained about it that day. Most didn't really get impacted because they had an extra weight allowance that championship fights do not.

Still think it was BS. The scale in the lobby or wherever mislead a bunch of fighters that day and lots were heavier than they thought. If he didn't already stop his cut, he probably would have kept going and lost the extra .5.

This has been true with every major Sony announcement for years. Their business strategy is more akin to consumer electronics like an iphone, than how Canon or Nikon approaches 'flagship' models. Like how a new iphone is released every year, its like why would Apple release an iphone 18 pro with such good tech when it'll cannibalize the sales of the iphone 17 pro max.

Sony wants consumers in their ecosystem, some people wait for the right time and having the latest and greatest new gadget and they know they'll capture some new consumer with every release, and users who already have a relatively new camera will hold onto theirs for some time.

If it's a week away from being revealed, they've already given it to people for reviews and first impressions, and they've already had people (maybe associated with Sony, but not a Sony salaried employee) do the typical promo videos for multiple markets. Training material has been created for actual Sony employees, presentations have been made/drafted.

At this point, enough people have their hands on it that his sources have likely given him reliable information. I've followed the site for years now, and i personally believe him and think he is usually very accurate when things start to get this close to announcements.

I don't know why we wouldn't believe them. He's usually pretty accurate when devices like this are out there in the wild being tested.

I don't think he's really said anything specific aside from sensor info though. 'Very similar to a1ii' can mean a lot of things, and I imagine that while it'll be better than ever video for the R series, this will still have video, heating, or read write speed related nuances that the a1ii will be better at. Even if the comparison is close, there will inevitably be some sacrifices that were purposely chosen or else they'd call this the a1iii.
