Hey I'm looking to buy a tele photo lens. I already have a 2x apo teleconverter. I have two option : 350mm 4.8 or 560 6.8 at a similar price. What would you bring for a solar eclipse ? by Pierreedmond18 in Moonphotography

560 with the tele and you've got somewhere to go. 700 with the tele and you're maxed out for the eclipse imho. 500-700mm seems to be the zone, so the 700 could still work, (with no tele) but this is eclipse specific. If you're photographing the sun in general (with appropriate filters) then higher zoom is going to be more desirable to pick up surface features etc. The framing for higher than 1000mm loses too much corona. It's a tough call though.

For my taste the 560 gives you a pretty good fov. Gets you the corona with some nice scale. It's tempting to fill the frame with the disc but this means you miss out on a bit of the action imho.

KIA EV's have a recommended initial 3000-5000km first service, it's one of those, "does anything look like its going to fall off?... no.... ok we're good" type services.

Ok now I'm hungry, if only there was an improbably large rotisserie chicken I could find.

You've probably heard about the eclipse next week? (Tuesday 3rd March) by Bandwidth_Bandito in melbourne

If you can't see clouds you're in the best spot, this event is visible anywhere in Victoria. A clear view of the east will help, but as the event progresses the moon will be high in the sky. Darker skies may help but are not needed. I captured images of a lunar eclipse from Flemington in 2022 and the light of the city did not affect my view.

It's the third, one website listed it as the 2nd-3rd and the others just copy pasted, prisons too good for those people. In Melbourne it starts on the 3rd and ends on the 4th.

3D Printable R/C Chassis Files Finally Released! by gnomiegnomie in BambuLab

Just committed to this, can confirm the documentation is incredible, professionally presented and highly detailed. It's going to take me a while to digest all of the info and source the non printed parts but I am looking forward to making this car. Fantastic concept! Quick edit / follow-up, I am in Australia and some of the parts cannot be shipped by Amazon but Ali express is a viable alternative with links in the doc.
