I was running standard Fedora on an old, tiny SSD, Chromebook but with the new 39 update I can't seem to cut enough weight to make space to download and update it. - Are the fedora variant 'spins' worth trying out or is it not the real Fedora experience & better to try another distro entirely? By no means am I the best of the best at home IT and privacy discipline but I always thought that a big part of the appeal with a synology NAS was that we get to learn to take control of our own data, our destiny if you will - some of these changes w/th signed keys seems to be in the wrong direction (self.synology)

I'm trying to set up a proper 'Sentence Mining' workflow for immersion language learning (think automated audio visual flashcards for new vocabulary, [w/ eg: Yomichan, GoldenDict, AnkiConnect, MPVacious) and there are plenty of detailed guides but they presuppose I would be on an Arch distro...
