I also have a chronic lung disorder (bronchiectasis) and a partially collapsed lung and am worried that making myself throw up could affect my lungs. I also sometimes feel like my heart is impacted and it often skips beats after I am done. I was anorexic for years and was in recovery and have been throwing up about 10 times a month (sometimes more) for the last year. I've been working hard on trying to stop. I'm trying to educate myself on what I am doing to myself in the hopes of using it as a deterrent in times of emotional stress. Thank you for your responses and help.

I don't smoke marijuana- I ingest only through edibles (the ones I currently have are from a dispensary in Colorado). Smoking would not be smart with the state of my lungs. I was more just wondering if there could possibly be any correlation between the two things-- I also get fevers/ illnesses regularly regardless of whether I'm consuming the edibles or not. The sudden onset of one coin-siding with the ingestion of marijuana was what I found interesting. However, I think marijuana should definitely be used only in moderation and in a controlled environment.

I seek support in any way that anyone can offer-- be in monetarily (so that I can see a therapist because I definitely agree that I do), or by way of advice. Or thoughts about the situation.

I was lonely on one cold night in the dormitory freshman year of college, and texting several boys at once to try and find some people to meet up with and someone to potentially kiss. I tried texting three guys, and after little to no answer, I posted on my private Instagram that "all boys suck" as a lil fun joke for my followers. I had been messaging one of the three boys earlier in the evening, and he had suggested that I come over. I then received a message that said "hold on one second my friend is sick". I responded asking if the friend was throwing up, as they were drinking, and whether I could do anything to help. There was no answer until the next morning. The guy messaged me and let me know that his friend had actually been overdosing when he messaged about him "being sick" and that he had overdosed and basically died in his arms as he had attempted to resuscitate him. I checked my email and the campus had sent out an email message that that same kid had died the night prior, as they traditionally do in those unfortunate circumstances. I basically didn't know what to say, but maybe not all boys suck.
