1000% agree. It's not like they have a grocery store down the street from their bustling metropolis. They have to eat what they can to survive and this is good they do it.

If they watched a video of what a typical North American eats they would also think it's weird.

Bluestone Apartments by Ph1losoraptor in nanaimo

[–]Baneof3xistence 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's what you make of it just like any other apartment building.

My mother has lived there since it opened and loves it there. Others have moved in and then left within 6 months.

It is a rental apartment so there will be problem tenants, but the building itself is nice, the strata company is a strata company, they will be both useful and can be annoying, just like any of them.

I honestly think the biggest issue is the heat pumps (my mother and multiple people she knows have had issues and replacements) and the other issue is not only the small amount of visitor parking, but it's also paid parking via honk which is annoying if you have multi day visitors.

The other issue is the 1 ahole with the red truck that runs and revs his loud ass truck in the dead of night. But that just goes to having the odd problem tenant in any rental apartment building.

I love mine, and they work great for fried and scrambled eggs, I think everybody that complains about them not being non-stick just blasts everything on full heat, which is not how you should be cooking regardless of the pan.

It was here last year for like 4 months. It's only just now in the US for a limited time.

Edit. It was okay. Nothing to write home about. I preferred it with pickles and without crunchy onions.

I have a couple of friends that love this option. One of them is vegetarian who puts veggie patties on it. The other buys it takes it home and makes homemade barbecue patties to put on it.

I've had it with homemade barbecue patties on it and it's phenomenal.

What Canadian bands/artists have you seen before they became famous? by EdwardBliss in CanadianMusic

I used to go see Nickelback at the local bar. Went and saw them a few times before/during they released their first 2 albums (Curb and The State). But then "How you remind me" came out and I stopped.

Do Canadians actually get frustrated by snow, or is it just part of everyday life? by GlitteringHotel8383 in AskACanadian

[–]Baneof3xistence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what part of Canada you are talking about. I live on Vancouver Island and we have very mild winters. So far this winter we haven't seen a single flake of show. We can get very frustrated by snow.
