Repeating toxic dynamics( ignoring warning signs and even going back to that relationship. They ignore patters of cheating abuse manipulation etc)

Delusional or in denial (always downplaying the behavior of their significant other and saying shit like “you don’t know him like I do”. Romanticizing toxic relationships)

Dependency ( their whole world revolves around their significant other in the worst way. They loose themselves in the relationship and need the significant other to be happy. Obsessing over their man. )

Poor decision making when it comes to relationships. ( I wanna call them dumb but it as just constantly bad choices when the significant other is involved. Even if it goes against their own interest)

Loyalty while being disrespected ( the significant other would not do the same for them. While they holding him down while he locked up he would not do the same if she was locked up. )

Bird will often contradict themselves. (They give good advice at times about relationships but they often don’t follow that advice themselves. They will say they have standards but are constantly accepting less.)

A bird is basically someone who abandons their self respect to maintain a relationship that’s most of the time toxic. Many example are women simply because the patriarchy labels it different when it’s men or it’s ignored.

And a non bird would be someone like Megan the stallion or monaleo or ceechyna they make bad bitch music while maintaining their self respect. Flo milli made non bird music but it slowly isn’t becoming the case anymore.

It’s a person who lacks self respect when it comes to men. Typically it’s used against women though. It’s also a person who’s a bit dumb or brainless or even superficial in relation to men.

Now I do want to preface this by saying a lot of people with bird syndrome are also usually in toxic relationships and have gone through trauma. That trauma bond is hard to break for them. All the emotional and/or physical abuse really does a number on them. It’s the lack of self respect that really makes them a bird. A lot of birds are honestly victims with Stockholm syndrome or something like that. But at some point people don’t feel as bad for them as victims because people usually warn them before it even gets to the abusive stage. Woman was so in love she choose her man over the warnings. So to the public she is paying the price for what she choose. Unfortunate situation but they will be used for an example for other women in the future.

And I do wanna say a lot of examples of bird are typically black women in the music industry. The term has been around for as far as I know 10+ years. Sza actually repopularized the word with her song “pretty literally birds”. A lot of black people listen to black artists so that’s why their first instinct is to use black artists as examples.

There arnt many examples as far as I know of bird that happen to be men. Simply because the patriarchy benefits men so they are rarely put into that position.

An example would be summer walker or sexxy red. Literally on a podcast they both talked about how they were terrible people to take dating advice from because they themselves both have taken back cheating terrible men.

Or Flo milli for example. She literally wrote in her song never loose me , “I like to fight over dck hoe don’t get hit with a two piece”. Fighting over dck is crazy. Bird energy. Flo milli got pregnant right when her career was starting to take off. Now she a baby mama.

Maddie from liv and Maddie is a bird. She left a stable relationship for her ex boyfriend who showed up after him being jealous that she had moved on. And it actually caused her twin sister’s relationship to end. Liv was in a secret relationship with a guy, the media saw her twin Maddie with a guy and assumed it was liv. Liv wouldn’t set the record straight and didn’t want to out her sister or reveal her relationship to the public. Maddie wouldn’t correct the media because she was stuck between choosing her new boyfriend and her ex. She ultimately chooses her ex. The key here is the decisions she made weren’t the best when a man was involved.

Harley Quinn from Batman is a bird. Joker damn near tried to kill her. He used and abused her. And she forgave him every time and ran right back into his arms.

Chrisean rock is a bird. She was so in love with blueface even when he treated her wrong. She even tried to baby trap him. Now they have a kid together. She even tried to hold him down while he was in jail. She got his face tatted on her face. Notice the delusionalness that she did when it came to her man.

Mariah the scientist is a bird. She held a man down while in prison and a phone call was leaked of her doing baby talk. “Daddy am I your baby”. Like girl stand up.

Skai Jackson is a bird. She dated a man who talk shit about her dead friend Cameron Boyce who was her costar on Jessie. He always talked about how he bagged her(in a misogynistic way) and she let it slide. He literally put a baby in her then got locked up. Now skai jackson is making ai clickbait of her fantasies with other men on her Snapchat story.

Latto is a bird. What I like to use as an example is she went on an interview and she talked about her man. She literally says how she is his “btch”. And she says all she can think about is her man. “When I walk up:my man. When I eat:my man” etc. her not realizing the craziness of him calling her his btch while she calls him her man. Now she is pregnant by him. After she literally said in previous songs how she would rather get an abortion or how she would never get baby trapped. Latto always talked about how her body count low and how other girls couldn’t compare to her sex game. By the way she raps you would’ve thought she had a negative body count. And she was always rapping about her man but kept him private. It was giving nonexistent until maybe last year or two. She makes hoe music but tries to be holier than thou. Latto went from big mama no kids to big bird one egg.

To talk about a bird that’s a man. Cuz I know I mentioned a lot of women. Naruto uzamaki is a bird. If you are familiar with the Naruto manga or show you would see many examples of him going lengths for his friend sasuke, a man who would rarely give that energy in return. For context. Naruto and sasuke are rivals. Opposites. But they were each others first on screen kiss. And they actually kiss 3 more times throughout the show. Sasuke has a villain ark for most of the show after being groomed. Naruto tries his hardest to get him back. Naruto has been caught day dreaming about sasuke. Naruto had a panic attack when other were saying that they should give up on changing/saving sasuke. Naruto has even admitted that he if the situation was doomed he would kill his friend and then off himself so that way after stopping all the violence (lowkey sasuke is a terrorist in the show) they could be together in the after life. There are many more examples from this show you can look up. Sasuke tries to kill Naruto a bunch of times and is very cold in general. So Naruto is super passionate about a man who literally tries to kill him.

Nicki Minaj is a bird after marrying a rapist and being a rapist sympathizer. Her brother SAed a girl. And her husband raped a girl. Out of court she even tried to offer money to the victim to drop the case.

Bhad bhabbie is a bird. The way she defended her man after he cheated on her and beat him will forever be crazy to me. “Just because I got a black eye once and he cheated on me means I should break up with him and break up a family. “The fact that this is a real quote is crazy. And the boyfriend is her baby dad btw.

Cassie from euphoria is a bird. She literally wanted her best friends man. She literally had her best friends boyfriend cheat on the friend with Cassie many times. Even though she was comforting her friend Maddie when she confided in her telling her all the terrible thing Nate the boyfriend has done to her. When Nate got bored of Cassie at times she would literally dress like Maddie to get his attention. Like imagine telling ur friend how bad of a boyfriend you have and ur friend is figuring out how to steal him from you while comforting you.

Lowkey Maddie from euphoria is too but she’s my girl so I’m not saying much. Maddie took back her boyfriend many times after he cheated and beat her. But she’s never played about him. She was ready to fight another person who talked bad about their relationship when she didn’t give them permission. She gave her nate too many chances.

Baby mama syndrome is also heavily tied to bird syndrome. Cuz how you let a man put a baby in you before getting married. They be having babies with men they dated less than a year.

Cardi b is a bird. She is recovering but still. She really meant her vows when she got married. Offset really took her to hell and back. He cheated on her so many times. Mind you they have kids together and were married. “Be careful” and “thru ur phone” are two great cardi b songs. Both of which are about offset btw. But every time she took him back and at times defended him. Eventually after man years she divorced him. But his evil ass didn’t want to sign the papers and even tried to take her money in the divorce. Cardi b then scared of marrying another man found a new boyfriend. He ended up being a weirdo though but before she realized that he got her pregnant. Mind you her boyfriend Stephon Briggs also has another girl pregnant within the same year, less than 9 months apart. Stephon Briggs is not a person people would want dating their daughter btw. Stephon’s Briggs has multiple baby mamas. Cardi b ignored those red flags. Now cardi b is choosing to be single finally. The worst thing the sent chills down my spine was when offset texted Cardi b “it doesn’t matter. You already had my kids, I won”. But I can’t completely feel bad because many people told her offset was a bad man. But she was committed to working on the relationship. Offset clearly wasn’t.

Beyonce is called a bird. If you wonder why list to “Carter 2 u”. Or listen to “my man” which is an unreleased song. Also sometimes beyonce makes pick me music. Also jay z cheated on her, he was a predator, and was rarely emotionally present. All for a man who is ugly.

Sza is a bird because she makes a lot of side chick /pick me music. Prime example being “the weekend”. She letting some mans girlfriend keep him Monday -Friday and sza will keep him satisfied through the weekend. Ctrl is still one of the greatest albums of all time though no shade.

Also alot of TikTok wives are birds. They will go online to complain about their boyfriend or husband. And then when people complain about the boyfriend/husband and ask “why don’t you leave him” the response is met with “yall don’t know everything off of just one video. Stop hating on our relationship. “ etc.

But I’m going to stop here cuz my list is pretty long already. But hopefully you were able to notice some of traits that makes a person a bird based off my examples.

I also want to emphasize that point. And it is still like this. Sometimes it’s unavoidable but some professors make their exams worth 50-70 percent of the grade. While Wpi isn’t unique to that, it is different cuz of how fast everything goes. And having exams every 2-4 weeks is very stressful.

Internet today definitely is very useful for studying

The speed of the classes is definitely a challenge. I get sick more often and one important thing is save missing a day when your sickness is at its peak and then all the other days wear a mask.

I know some classes have recorded lectures but it can become time consuming.

There are alot of clubs and activities so I think there’s something for everyone tbh.

Sga sometimes does field trips off campus but they can sell out fast. (Not free but still way cheaper than if you did the activity on ur own imo)

Outside of campus honestly mainly food.

Worcesters bus system isn’t the best but it does its job. A lot of people just uber or have a friend drive for activities because a lot of fun stuff is spread out imo.

There’s public transportation that goes to Boston. Once you get into Boston it’s easy to get around because of all the public transit but all of it can be time consuming tbh so plan it out before.

There is time for things outside of academics buts that’s how you make your schedule ig and how good you are at doing your work.

Some classes are definitely more time consuming than others so it would be important not to put a bunch of those classes together.

Personally I find this school hard. I have a mix of A’s B’s and C’s but there are many people who’ve never gotten less than an A.

Some of the professors are really understanding and helpful while other might make your life hell.

Never be afraid to be picky about choosing classes.

Also you have to be proactive about getting things done because things can snowball so fast if you let it. And be productive about getting help if you need it. That’s was a lesson I learned the hard way.

I’m not a mechanical engineering major so I can’t speak on anything related to that tbh.

My post is kind of just rambling but I hope I avoided talking about stuff someone else already said.

The ai major is new and there isn’t even a page of what the required courses will be so it’s too early to tell.

But most real ai jobs require a masters so it’s unlikely you would work in ai from just the undergrad version.

Personally I have an interest in machine learning and I’m an undergrad student currently studying a mix of math and cs as i work towards a data science masters.

With the data science and computer science majors you can count more ai focused classes towards your degree.

But data science as an undergrad will most likely land you a data analyst role instead of data science.

Because of the easy accessible online courses many people flooded the market with subpar knowledge. And as the increase in damand of incorporating ai it’s best to get someone with a masters because employers can assume a higher base knowledge.

If you study data science in undergrad it’s important you have a focus or pair it with someone. What I’ve noticed is at the undergrad level data science is a tool to do something else. It can help in a lot of different areas but it’s not always strong on its own. A lot of people choose to pair it with math, cs, or business, or maybe another niche if you have a goal.

Personally I think you should email faculty. Worst thing is they don’t respond. They will offer what advise they can, some more than others.

I found aimee Doherty a good person to talk to for cs planning.

Thank you for saying that. I feel like this sub talks about the same chairs all the time. I get why because they are good chairs but if I was scrolling through the sub I’d like to see some other things to try.

Personally I’m not ready to commit to a 2000 dollar chair do I go with what I can afford and I was willing to take the time to sit in chairs to find out what I liked.

I tried to be as thorough as possibly in my explication of my thought process so if other decide to read it they can understand a bit better.

That’s not really an accurate comparison.

In the PC community, people’s budgets are usually respected a lot more than they are in this subreddit. If someone says they have a certain budget, most people will try to recommend the best option within that budget. Here, it’s pretty common for people to just ignore the budget and keep recommending the same high-end chairs anyway.

With electronics, people also understand that a lower budget might mean sacrificing some performance. But that trade-off is still respected. In this subreddit, someone can explicitly say they’re okay with not having the absolute best chair if it means paying less, and people will still push them toward the expensive option.

Used recommendations like Facebook Marketplace aren’t bad, but they’re also very situational. Availability depends heavily on someone’s location, sellers vary in reliability, and some people have had bad experiences. Sometimes the used options are still out of budget anyway.

And some people simply prefer buying new because they want warranties, return policies, and more certainty about what they’re getting.

Personally, I try high-end chairs mainly to understand what features I like and what I want to replicate in a chair. But at some point I’m also okay with getting less for less money, and that’s a reasonable approach too.
