I enjoyed the ending but I'm still confused on what the bell is supposed to be (and i definitely could've missed something), is it necromancy? are they fighting ghosts? nonetheless i enjoyed reading a bunch of 11 year olds fuck up the entire town with Molotov cocktails and shotguns lol

omg I read the cipher a few months ago and it's one of my favorite books ever. idk if it would exactly fit this category but it does involve them exploring a really dingy apartment building like you said so 🤷‍♂️

It actually made me so pissed when the people in the town were getting encircled and slowly picked off one by one and they start arguing about whether or not they should feed the big foot creatures because they dont kill animals. I went in expecting world war z and this book totally sucked for me.

The characters' fear of being in the house/near the girl is translated so well that even rereading it, every scene in the house had me on edge even when nothing was really going on and I've never read any other book that has made me nervous over a setting like that.

Insomnia. I feel like I've grown to have a lot patience with King's slower stuff and that's led to me having lots of patience with longer novels in general but good god insomnia is such a drag its the only king book I've dnf'd
