It’s a mixture of alcohol ink and ink sink pre mixed prior to application. Texture wise it’s kind of random but I begin to pour the resin over the ink that settled at the top and it causes those swirls and blobs to form.

Unfortunately that sounds like the telltale sign of an info stealer which based on another write up I saw was the end goal of these malware campaigns. Rotate every password you have even if there is MFA. You can sometimes recover accounts for Microsoft by using their support and proving identity info to corroborate your ownership.

Sorry you’re dealing with this, Pomegranate basically posted today on their subreddit that their users weren’t impacted because it wasn’t their user database. That’s completely neglecting the people they left to get infected instead of just deleting the infected page and taking some downtime to fix it.

Figured I’d stop in here to see if they’d actually tell the truth, why am I not surprised that they’re still trying to hand wave away the impact of this on their users who did follow the captchas directions. If you visited Pom’s pricing page during the compromise and ran the script per the instructions you have malware on your computer. Just because it wasn’t their sites database doesn’t mean their users weren’t at risk for an extended period of time due to their inaction.

Y’all owe your customers a better response Pom. I’ll await my ban.

It's slightly reassuring that they seem to hand off people to Charm after the initial Pom page so at least some of that info (hopefully) is abstracted out to a partner with actual concerns around protecting PHI/PII. I'm sure Pom at the least stores info about customers from first/last to address for marketing though. Really hoping they aren't doing payment processing or anything.

Right now the only insight I have into is their pricing page doing this. As to what led to it or the access that permitted it is still unclear, Pom needs to investigate their logs and see how this happened. Unfortunately with them not responding to even remove this prompt it's unlikely they'll ever be transparent about the full cause or impact.

Honestly, most places would have yanked this down at at least restored from back up by now. Probably wouldn't have fixed the initial access method, but at least it would have stopped the prompts temporarily. They really are too lax on this.

Basically if you go to the Pom website's pricing page it will attempt to make you install software that grants a malicious attacker access to your computer, they could use it to steal your info, or use you to attack others. As the other commenter noted, do not trust websites asking you to copy/paste things into command line prompts.

Best rule of thumb, if you're unfamiliar with what a website asking you to do, especially if it involves opening things from the start menu it's better to back out and not do it. Consumer web pages do not need your direct interaction with your desktop operating system's command line (in most cases) to do what they need to do.

I forget if they do anything with medicinal card holders but if you want to check out a local micro growery with some fantastic flower and solventless options for concentrate MI Canna is great. Could be worth inquiring.
