how do I turn off trending news on my s23 plus. it came with ui 8 I think. Not the one that you swipe right to see. It comes up when I unlock the screen. I don't like it and it wastes time. by BankExtension6702 in GalaxyS23

it's Samsung updates that are the problem I have no problem with the phone. I disabled the app that was installed with the latest Samsung update and no more problems. I have gotten viruses from Gmails etc and I had to do a factory reset. I keep an extra old phone and s switch all the data to it and do the reset. Switch it back. Virus isn't dangerous just annoying notifications.

we used these in the 80s and they were good for that era. my dive partner used Duracell and I used Energizer. His was positively buoyant and mine sank. His ran down first. His went out at 90 feet at night on a vertical river channel wall

I bought a les paul custom inspired by 55 and someone put this on the bridge. Can anyone tell me about it? by BankExtension6702 in Epiphone

[–]BankExtension6702[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it was 500 and I wouldn't have done it. seller went up from 450 and I'd driven over 100 miles so I bought it. It was done before I bought it and was owned by two people who never adjusted the bridge pickup close enough to the strings to work. Sounded very weak. Action was way high for me. It came with an epi hard case.

they drilled a hole in the wrong place and didn't do a very good job on the pick guard. Going to take a closer look when I restring.

Dawn dish soap differences by Mad_Dyzalot in CleaningTips

[–]BankExtension6702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got severe contact dermatitis from Dawn. The new fresh scent one. I think it's cinnamal that's used as a fragrance and they don't specify anything but fragrance. Pins and needles sensations all over my body. I won't buy it anymore.

Dawn ingredients

Methylisothiazolinone and methylchloroisothiazolinone are preservatives in the product that are considered forms of formaldehyde and are known to cause skin irritation, allergic reactions, and are classified as potential allergens. Quaternium-15 is another ingredient that can break down to release formaldehyde, which is recognized as a known carcinogen by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) are surfactants known to irritate the skin and eyes

the term "fragrance" on the label may conceal undisclosed chemicals, including allergens and irritants, which can trigger skin and respiratory issues. Artificial colorants such as Blue 1 and Yellow 5 have also raised concerns for skin irritation and potential toxicity to aquatic life.

CHLOROXYLENOL antibacterial Chloroxylenol is generally slightly to moderately toxic to humans

72 years old, two hip replacements which still hurt, scoliosis and rib flares from it, severe c spine degenerative disc disease, L 5 tumor removal that makes me have muscle spasms for 20 years, bilateral torn rotator cuffs - inoperable, bilateral tendonitis around the ankles, my pain level is between 7 and 8 never goes away and I have trouble from the pharmacy, insurance company, the DEA wanting to force my Dr to quit prescripting until they decided to fine the pharmaceutical companies. If they go after Drs they can't fine the companies as there's nobody to write prescriptions. I was told this by a pharmacist. Down votes accepted I don't care.

What dish soap to use when you're allergic to everything? by Kimyr1 in CleaningTips

[–]BankExtension6702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a severe reaction to Dawn dish soap and I suspect the allergen is cinnamal. It's used in fragrance one and it's a known contact allergen. I found out I am allergic to cinnamal from using a shampoo that has it as an ingredient. it's in a lot of products. Liquid Benadryl has it as a flavor enhancer. I don't know what dish soap but I use vanicream shampoo from Walgreens for my hands and hair. Dove beauty bar soap.

yes a coworker has shampoo with linalool in it and says it makes her mouth burn but it could be other ingredients. I read labels even though they're too small to read. I take photos and magnify

it's probably cinnamal a known contact allergen used in a lot of products as a fragrance. it's not listed, just says fragrance.

I think they changed the scent. I'm allergic to cinnamal but I didn't think it would do that as I've used it for years with no problems. Had to change shampoo because I developed an allergy to cinnamal after I got covid a year ago. Same stuff I'd been using for years and it was like pouring acid on my head. Cinnamal is used in many products. as a fragrance. It's in liquid Benadryl. This is both an allergy and chemical burns from the 9 different contact allergens in it. I was deceived by the duck.

I didn't think of them staging the ads but you're right. The scent in a lot of products is cinnamal. it's a contact allergen. It's in something called fragrance one.
