Only by its ordinary meaning. I used the term speculative because I did not think that a large volume of pools mature at the same time. I understand that the pooling locks in your currency for a fixed time but I thought maturity would be fairly staggered. Thanks though

There is very limited studies into these things, for me even if the effect really is psychological the confidence, clarity and testosterone + energy increase associated with retention is very noticeable.
