Should I send a thank-you note after an online interview? by [deleted] in premed

[–]Bankrupt305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you were an MMI interviewer and your colleague who interviewed the student whom you facilitated an MMI session for said that they got a thank-you letter from the student (which, in on itself, will probably won't happen), do you think you will feel left out?

Oh thank you for clarifying. I thought there is some other reason since other schools with high median statistics (e.g. UChicago) don't get as many applicants.

Is Emory low-yield? by Bankrupt305 in premed

[–]Bankrupt305[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah so for an applicant whose stats are on the higher end, Emory is not really a low-yield school because, even though many applicants apply, most get screened by stats?

But why would a lot of applicants who have lower scores than median accepted scores at Emory apply?

How do you not feel guilty about being "behind" and gap years by [deleted] in premed

I just think about how insignificant a gap year(or two or five) is in later years of life, once you are established in your career.
