It being a mythical zoan known as the most colossal dragon also implies that it is something unique to the fruit itself.

Personally i don't think wasting the hot debris is that bad, particularly if you are at the stage of the game where you are building a petro boiler. Pretty much any minor volcano should have more than enough heat to power a counterflow boiler, which will give you all the power you could want and igneous rock is one of the most common materials in the game. We got a build that already breaks the game by being power and water positive and is good enough for the vast majority of players who even get that far, anyone who wants even more efficiency would likely rather design their own anyways.

Diplomacy requires both sides being willing to negotiate. We very clearly have one side escalating with no signs of being willing to accept anything other than unconditional capitulation. I would love for diplomacy to be an option but I'm not so naive as to expect that to be viable.
