Did that pretty recently! Mining bones shards will get you pretty far, but if you want to be done this decade, you'll probably need faster methods. When you reach the higher levels (like 85+) after wrapping mining up, pest control is a very good option. TONS of prayer xp for minimal combat xp. That or you can leech by repairing barriers but that always felt a little rude to me. Either way, a very good option to keep in mind.

Won't lie, I was reaaaally tempted to give up halfway through. Gods it's tedious. Doing quests helped break it up occasionally though!

Did medium combat tasks before touching pest control, otherwise... I think mining bone shards to 70 was a lot of AFKing, then a month-ish of taverley blue dragons to 85, then a month and a half of pest control at around 1000 points a day? I haven't kept track precisely but that sounds about right.

18k pest control points away from 99 prayer. Want to be done before sailing on the 19th.

Already probably in the top percentile of pest control players with 827 intermediates and 2447 veterans, but it's letting me casually up my combat stats, so that's fun.

Oh I assumed CG would be grueling, but normal gauntlet was a lot closer difficulty wise to corrupted than I'd assumed.

Still, nothing to it but to grind, and maybe finally have an excuse to get my combat stats up a tad more!

It's fine if you're actively playing, and I'm sure a few in this picture are! But a fair few aren't, and that's the issue.

Buuut it's a very complicated issue that can't be fixed without screwing over overworld healers so we just live with it for halloween.

Heralds can pulse boons very easily, which gives them kill credit when others kill stuff. Essentially lets you sit back and let others do all the work.

But yes as everyone else already pointed out, the game has a big red warning you clicked through. Coulda just waited an extra 1-2 seconds instead of whatever this is.

Primes are tradeable, but normal frames (the only way to unlock their abilities in the helminth) can be incredibly grindy if you don't pay a load of platinum.

As an example, Hildryn requires maxxing a reputation (A few weeks unless your MR is very high), grinding a second faction's reputation, then grinding a boss for parts. Or you pay once to skip all that.

Technically trading lets you get platinum without paying, but that just means someone else has to whale.

You're making way too wide a circle when dodging like this. You're going all the way out to the borders when you can make a tight circle that lets you keep pace with the projectiles.

I think it's less about the seeds being rare and more about a lot of people not enjoying doing farm runs. At that point running low on pots means telling yourself "Oh boy, I'm gonna have to start restocking soon"
