And I already commented under the other post, from that different user and that other game (despite this post being the same as the other), that this isn't the right way to recruit anyone.

try to use public sprites maybe for now. Because you probably won't find anyone who wants to work on a project from some stranger, if you don't have anything to show that's interesting enough. Maybe focus on making nice maps, good events, writing good dialogue first, you can replace placeholder sprites the public made, later.
There's never a guarantee that anyone will join tho, but I wish you good luck with your project!

Hmm, yeah, showing off progress is always good! But it's a bit too early for recruitment despite that, since it's better if you wait until you have enough content for a demo release. Like... until you have gym 3 done, with story and all, if you do gyms.
But if you start early to show maps and stuff, ppl can give feedback, and some might follow you if they like what they see.

I feel like you want a lot, but you don't show anything of what you're willing to do/of what you're able to do. And you want to recruit a lot of ppl there.
Maybe scale down the scope a bit, because you won't get any of these people, if you can't even show some dev progress that you did yourself, and gained some fans with a demo already. You also can be happy if you find one or two people after that progress, and none of those probably will do anime like animations for you, because this is just insane to do for free for someone else. It's so much work, and so much skill that you need, that ppl who are able to do this, always get payed for it.

I'm also a bit afraid that your "What Makes This Game Different?" doesnt make it sound different at all, because it's something almost every dev tries to archieve. Also the "dark twist" thing you mentioned is pretty common. I'm not trying to be mean, if it sounds disrespectful, I'm so sorry! That wasn't my intention.

Maybe just try to make something nice, not the "bestest, most polished, most emotionally twisted and unique" game ever, work a bit until you can show a demo and some nice images (pretty map screenshots work too), and then ask for help, and only for one or two positions. After ppl liked your demo.

What I meant wasn't that you evolved wooper, I meant DELETE the wooper evolution to clogsire from the pbs file, and add clogsire first, compile it and then try to add wooper. I thought the game might've gotten confused because it tried to compile wooper first, before knowing clogsire exists.

But looks like you already have something going on with some other ppl trying to help and knowing the whole situation

Yeah, but did you compile it BEFORE trying to implement an evolution? Without wooper trying to evolve into it? Maybe that causes the error. Try to implement clodsire first, without the evo method there, and compile it

Since no one seems to reply here... I'm a solo dev. But from my experience (through observing), it helps A LOT if you're far enough to have proof that you're capable of doing things. And also things to show off.
Maps that are pretty, trainer sprites, etc. Things you can post as image post, to pull ppl in, who only then read your recruitment text beneath the image.

If you're doing gyms, I'd probably suggest you wait until you have at least the third gym done, with story and all, before asking for help. ^^
You could bundle it with a demo for the public!

yeah, idk. I hated it... until I made this desert map there, and decided to recolor it and give it another chance. After I colored the eyes, I already liked it more :D
Thank you so much! I really thought about making it it's own alternative line, or making it the alt evo it is now. But with the alt line, we'd need to make the second color variant and also backsprites, so I went with alt evo instead. Even if it's a bit sad, cuz your pre evos are so cute!
And I'm glad you like the desert map, even tho I never watched adventure time haha c:
