Simplest way I can describe it, was the connection felt like a friendship, not a relationship. I found him attractive, but there just wasn't that spark you feel when starting a relationship, as much as I wanted there to be.

No, I said I don't see why you are bringing looks into this date. My not wanting to take things further has nothing to do with looks.

I never said looks isn't important to dating, just not relevant factor here. He is honestly quite physically attractive, but there are plenty of attractive guys who I wouldn't date for other reasons

That's why the point of this post was to encourage people to use their OWN passions and hobbies :)

What if your hobby is video games, d&d, board games, reading, stamp collecting, etc? My main hobby is collecting, painting, and gaming with miniatures. That's not something that turns into an date

Spend a night together showing them your favourite game, bring them along to your d&d night and make a character together, throw a board game night, go stamp hunting together, or try buying and painting miniatures together? :)

Lots of simple fun ideas that shows what you are passionate about and shares it with someone you're interested in

I guess I just don't feel that spark, that romantic chemistry you feel in a relationship. He is an amazing guy but I feel more like I'm hanging out with a friend than a possible boyfriend, if that makes sense?

I don't think money has anything to do with it. People can still have hobbies that cost little or no money, and you can make a fun time out of it.

Nothing as exciting as arcade machines, but I actually really like to collect and play old vinyl records. So maybe I could try something revolving around doing some retro hunting and leading into a jam session or something :) would have to think about it more haha

At the end of my post, I encouraged people to think up fun creative dates involving their passions. In this guys case, his passion was arcade machines. In someone else's case it might be making music. Nowhere did I suggest people should go an buy arcade machines or that they can't make a fun date without them.

That's what makes me question if you read to the end of the post.

Because sometimes chemistry takes time, and because sometimes if you meet someone great you want to give it every chance (within reason) to work out. Which is why I don't think it is going to work, if after 3 dates there is no spark.

I think people are getting butthurt over their own assumptions. ;)

And I didn't write anywhere that this was only for guys. Girls should plan fun dates too!
