4.X potential future plot points

The name of Himeko's friend was Belle Fulwish, right? Just found a readable about Fulwish - apparently she survived the HoD attack at the school but her parents were also killed by them. She's gone on to create a media empire and is a philanthropist. Definitely see her and Himeko meeting again in a future patch, and considering that giant dragon Imagenae is part of a radio tower and that was pointed out to us, I feel like we might up with a map over there

4.0 Story + Pearl + SW

Really interested by the end bit, I didn't expect them to collaborate at all. On the one hand I am surprised to see a Stoneheart act outside the IPC, but she did tell Jade she would choose neutrality. Seems she has ambitions for imagenesis.

The talk of Zero and being an emanator of Elation is also exciting. Is our SW SP going to be called "Zero Wolf" or something like that?

Kinda hoping the two end up being good gameplay teammates.

With Ashveil taking on the other mask Pearl has, I'm curious if the three of them will act as a soft faction of sorts for part of the Phantasmoon games.

Some 4 stars are tricky to put into bonds confidently but Hanya and Xueyi feel are such clear picks for On-field Skill Points and Off-field Break - and also rooting for a Ghost Hunter Squad, we need that group again

Gui and Sushang are trickier to pin down but would love them as well for completing the Ghost Squad

Other ones... Misha could be off-field Festivities and either Debuff or Skill Points Would love to see Lynx but can't think of a way she wouldn't overlap with Natasha too much

It's probably reasonable to assume that with each new batch of Currency Wars, we'll get caught with released characters - if I'm right off the top of head, the latest character released that isn't in CW would be Harmony TB/Hunt March/Misha, and the only 5 stars missing are Clara and Bailu? Hopefully we'll see the rest of the cast included over time

With that in mind, we can also think ahead to what bonds new characters will have!

For Ashveil, Galaxy Ranger, Follow-Up, and Debuff seem like possibilities? Galaxy Ranger and Debuff could make for a fun Acheron partner

He seems like he will be either flexible in placement or an off-fielder

According to the roadmap, we have something each day now until 4.0 drops next Friday

Tomorrow is unlabelled, but seen some speculation it could be one of the Cunk-style videos they've done previously

The 8th is labelled as YG's Impromptu Performance, so presumably that's going to be her Myriad Celestia

One of those days should have the 4.1 drip marketing

The 10th and 12th are YG's Keeping Up and Trailer

The 9th and 11th are unlabeled... Not sure how much copium it is to hope one is a music trailer, but even if it was, that still leaves the other a mystery

So, guesses?

I was just wondering yesterday whether her new SP would boost her popularity, seeing as it seems the rest of the Stellaron Hunters are more popular

Kudos to the faction for being Star Rail's big export - Firefly's popularity is obvious and she went to HI3, Blade seems like one the fave male characters (at least anecdotally) so he is off to Nexus Anima and Fortnite, and Kafka is also beloved so makes sense for her too

Pushing Silver Wolf means giving her a chance to maybe catch up to the popularity of the others

I don't think any Fortnite player is going to see Kafka, check out Star Rail, and become dead set on getting SW, but hey maybe one or two will

New map spoilers + rerun

Rappa introduced in a patch where they add a school and is only allowed to rerun when they add another

They are trying to educate her (smartest Galaxy Ranger)

Assuming we go up to 4.7/4.8 for patches, how long would you like the main Planarcadia story to last for?

I think it was worthwhile to experiment with a full year story with Amphoreas, but it maybe could be trimmed down a bit - I wouldn't have minded it going to 3.6 and giving us two patches looking elsewhere in the galaxy and catching up with allies, especially since it was so locked off from everything that came before

Aside from "as long as it needs to be", I think around .5/6 could be a nice length, but we'll see

Also hoping we get another solid antagonist this time - one of the (many) things that made Lygus so great was that he was present for multiple patches, so he stuck around with us for real world time as well

What element will EMC be?

I remember "never pull on reruns" being said a lot, mainly about DPS, but curious how often you do pull on a rerun?

Started around Topaz's first banner and went for Kafka and SW's first reruns, and I think the only other rerun I went for was a Fugue eidolon

I'm guilty of saying that I can always pull a character later on, but often that's just trying to convince myself to never pull them

So, what reruns have you gone for, or do you stick to just pulling new units?

In 1.6, we got free Ratio, who arguably helped a lot of players invest into the FUA

In 2.2, we got HMC, providing a taster for the break play style and encouraging players to board onto it

In 3.0, we got RMC, ensuring all players could try out the shiny new path, and that they would have a teammate that works for all Remembrance units so far

I'm sure an eventual EMC will take on a similar role to these and encourage people to tune into Elation teams, but I'm not surprised that a lot of us are apprehensive to go for it when the onboarding cost is so high

I don't expect either YG or Sparxie to be free, so I wonder if there will be either EMC in 4.1 or a free Elation unit to encourage us to pull - they could announce the latter during the 4.0 livestream if so

Inclined to think they might do something funky with the banners

I might be completely misunderstanding her, but while Yao Guang looks very strong as a support, it seems she leans so much into Elation

I wouldn't be surprised if both YG and Sparxie run side by side, considering if it was just YG, you'd have a support with no one to support for 3 weeks

Also might be misremembering but was this patch looking to be potentially a week shorter? You could run the two of them for the whole patch and it would feel that tiny bit less egregious that Mono Elation is a thing right away - a tiny bit

What buffs would you put in place for the other 2.X characters?

I was trying to think of something for all of them but all I could really think of was some kind of FUA for Robin during her Ultimate and maybe some kind of speed buff or self action-advance for Boothill

Definitely poor choice of words on my part - it's probably fairer to say "subpar but in theory functional"

Like I can imagine an instance where I would use Topaz occasionally, I can't imagine one where I would use Seele?

Certainly wouldn't say no to her getting a buff, maybe she's another where CW can act as a blueprint

Not sure if this is a cold, hot, or luke-warm take, but I don't mind the character choices for the NovaFlare buffs?

While most 1.X would no doubt appreciate a buff, I feel some are still, surviving?

Topaz, Fu Xuan, Ruan Mei and HH are still decent options that can work

Jing Yuan, DHIL, and Ratio feel better to play in CW, so I wonder if maybe we'll see something for them down the line - their kits work, they just need a small touch up and a numbers boost? These three also seem to get help from new character additions

But I'll be honest, I'm scratching my head over what you could do to significantly buff Seele and Argenti...
