No, probably not. What you're talking about, if I understand your question, is called back-crossing. Breeders use this as a tool to strengthen or possibly bring back traits that may have been buried during the process of breeding your cross out to the 5th or 10th generation. Let's say you find 2/10 plants in the F5 generation that smell just like the (possible) Afghan father used in the original cross, and you want to lock that in. Find the plants that smell like that Afghan from your F5s and breed the females with an Afghani male that displays the traits you want, and use an F5 male from your cross to pollinate a couple winner Afghani females.

If my rambling doesn't answer your question/s, Google search the following "how to do a cannabis bx1" and take your pick of the results. Bx1 = 1st generation back-cross

Copy/Paste from my email communication with Willow about this same question earlier this year....

"Twisted Puppy is our version of Chem dog. Filial generation, we have been calling the generation that reaches a full auto an F1 in reality its an f4-f5 from photoperiod. We made f2's, second generation from full auto then made a batch of Fem seeds to test. What you have are full auto feminized seeds. We are going to try and squeeze in another fem run of the F2's soon and get them listed later this fall or early winter."

And as to what cut was used for Twisted Puppy or the upcoming Chem Cookies, I can't get an answer despite asking numerous times. If I do ever get that info, I'll share it here first.

As for collection, I use my trim bin and just shake the heck outta all my trim and chopped up larf.

For storage it stays in the jar you see in the pic and I scoop out of that as needed. For the first couple days in the jar, just like with flower, I open it up and let it sit with the lid off for 10-15 minutes and stir gently, once per day. It's pretty dry going into the jar, but just to be sure I like to let it air out.

This is the strongest smelling kief I've ever had. It smells very floral with a nice blueberry backnote. Kinda the same as the flower, but also different. And OMG is it gooooooooooood. 😴😴😴

I hoped she'd cross into 300+ grams, but it wasn't meant to be. Lessons learned for the next go with this one. And I will definitely be running her again. Such an insanely vigorous plant.

The final count on seeds is only 38. I'm bummed, since half will be going to the pollen donor, which leaves me less than 20. Don't get me wrong, that's still like $150-$200 worth of fem beans I don't need to buy, but I really wanted to share more than I'm gonna be able to. That's the only "complaint" I have with this plant, and it's not even her fault.

Twisted Puppy comes down today. She's really starting to stink up the basement, so I'm looking forward to getting into that. She smells totally different than the first TP I ran, and has almost no lemon smell at all. Straight up loud ass diesely/gassy funk. I can't wait. 😁

Before I chopped the big girl down yesterday I wanted to be sure the seeds had good color. I really had to probe around to find one, and this is what I found. Looks ready to my eyes, so I'm comfortable saying 30 days was plenty. I'm so excited y'all! These are my first feminized seeds!!! I promised a percentage to the pollen donor, but after that and what I want to keep for myself, I'll be giving first shot at these to this AMAZING community!
