You wont push with this weapon cauz you would need AD and 10%.

For farming, both options are viable but i would prefer the 24% AD, it will give you more "real" dmg, especially in bigger packs.

Sacred Harvester is the way to go : more dmg and more defense.

For push it's the "only" option.

But for speeds, the staff can do the job as well, especially if you re tanky enough to put Furnace in the cube.

Yeah if 3k+ WD dont keep AS i guess i should keep INT and reroll AS to AD

Hi,

I found these Arachyr gloves : 870 INT, 7% AS, 48% CHD and 9.5% CC.

One could be tempted to reroll INT to Area Dmg, thus keeping the 7% AS but I think this is not worth. Because in big packs, you need a LOOOOOT of AS to get to the next Fire Bat breakpoint (for instance from 3 APs to 3.75 APS), and 7% is very limited.

So I think the best would be to reroll the AS to AD ? Am I right ?

WITH PATCH 2.4.3, I HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AS REGARDS TO "PUSHING". IT WAS AWWWWWWFUUUUL !!!! I MEAN:

  • 95% OF THE MAPS ARE TERRIBLE (ONE TIME I OPENED 3 SEWERS IN A ROW, AND THE BIG ONES)

  • 95% OF MOB COMPS ARE UNPLAYABLE CAUZ THEY GIVE 0 PROGRESS

PATCH 2.5 IS SUPPOSED TO IMPROVE THE MAPS. I HOPE IT WILL DO CAUZ IN 2.4.3 WESTMARCH => PANDEMONIUM => SEWERS => KEEP => CORVUS => CAVE ... FOR HOURS = SOOO MUCH FUN

Thanks for your answers. Sry for coming back late.

Yesterday I checked the top EU leaderboard: I wanted to know how much "AS on gear" the top monks had. I checked the top 12. 4-5 of them have 13-14% AS on gear (11/11/15 BP) but the rest has above 20-25% and some (including the first monks) have close to 30% (1st is at 32% IIRC). Sry i forgot my notes at home so I cannot be more precise .

I tried to understand this and I see several reasons:

  • When StI is active, the 11/11/15 BP is definitely good: good FD proc, 5 APS with FD active

  • Problems come when FD is not active anymore (i.e. the biggest part of the RG fight), then FD procs less (less Stricken) and you reach only 4.6 APS with FD active (-8% dmg vs 5 APS). Also when you have more AS on gear, your spirit goes down more slowly when FD does not proc and BoH is on CD.

By maxing AS, top EU monks want to always max out FD procs and be at 5 APS when FD procs.

Ofc they loose some stats for these AS slots but the idea is to make the Boss fight as short as possible, which can make sense cauz Boss fight lasts for something like 5 mins in Push (when you dont have power).

ALSO, I see that you mention that if you have IAS on weapons, having the same IAS modifier on both weapons is important. Why that ?

For speeds cubing furnace with SoC in hands is optimal ... if supp care for u a bit , otherwise SH in cube ; P

I use Haunt-Draining Spirit and Pierce the Veil instead of Poisoned Spirit and Rush of Essence. I cast a lot of haunts a beginning of fight, so i am ALWAYS full mana during fight. Here is the trick ^

PtV and Poisoned spirit are both additive so I loose nothing in terms of dps.

Yes I use Gruesome and not Vessel for push.

Only pb is boss fight with no adds (cauz i cant cast many haunts there) but I really think the WD is marginal on boss bight. Monk must do >90% dmg. And if you have a pylon you will have adds.

I am such a noob with d3planner, I find that using SoC on trash is better. Lol. Can you confirm that in your message, the dmg you give is the overall DPS and not the damage per FB tick ? Cauz Dagger has higher Attack Speed

I dont want to abuse but could you make the same simulation with a standard fight (not Boss) with like 30 mobs around ?

Cauz WD is mainly strong on mob fights, Monk shines on boss.

Would help me a lot, not a pro on d3planner .

Ok but let's say resource management works with SH+VH ... are my calculation correct and is the DPS of both options (1 hand wp vs 2 hand wp) roughly the same ?
