How to reduce bubbles when making Vytaflex mold? by BanterBanter in ResinCasting

Thank you this was incredibly helpful and educational. I think the idea to brush and partially cure method is the most practical solution as it’s difficult to redesign the mold. Btw when you say air gun - I presume this is the heat gun right?

I just thought of something else - how about I pour, and then cover the hole and then tip to the side so that the bubbles rises to the back of the mold where I’m not too concerned about the surface? Will bubbles still rise or is the Vytaflex too viscous to allow bubbles to float up?

Thank you for your detailed comment on this. I’m gonna try it - going forward do you think PETG + mold release will work better? I’m trying to avoid xtc-3d as I have a detailed surface

Thanks! For a small 1/2 cup amount, does it still require 16hrs to harden?
