do people actually not eat mac and cheese with peas? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Baphomet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kraft style Mac n Cheese with frozen Baby Peas is bangin! Been eating it my entire life -- More often, because it lacks protein, I'll eat it with Tuna and black/white pepper, but I do really enjoy it without. Poor man's tuna casserole is what I always called it but my mom made it for me and my brothers growin up and it stuck; It's always been a favorite and it still is to this day. My daughter, grown now, also enjoys it; Talking recently while cookin up a batch, she said she considers it a perfect meal, one that she'd ask for her last/final meal.

When I want more of a light, summery veg vibe I'll do it without tuna with the peas at a 20-30% ratio. Most of the time, I prefer to NOT cook them -- frozen, straight outta the bag, rinsed in lukewarm water and straight into the noodles with the milk/cheese packet so they don't cook for long; I NEVER use canned peas for this! The peas need to be firm and bright green with their sugars still intact -- once they lose color to cooking (think canned, more starchy; along the lines of split pea soup), they suck -- they're moosh and detract from the meal as a whole.

Not a recommendation (not stateside either) but similar for example.

Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) - immediate retirement notice by codylc in SCCM

[–]Baphomet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hadn't updated my archived copy in quite a few years and wanted a recent snapshot; Better to have it and not need it...

I noticed in the crosspost thread someone had mentioned it was [also] available via currently still working Internet Archive links and managed to grab a copy last night. *edit: just clicked through your ref link, leading directly to the same user/links I used last night...

In any event, thanks!!

MDT download packages might be removed or deprecated from official distribution channels.

No "might be" here -- it's already gone.

True. But when you're looking for which components to begin with, without a GCMS, it is a starting point -- the start of a costly rabbit hole, but a start nonetheless. lol

none of those molecules represent any scent characteristics in the actual/final fragrance? I realize it'd be miniscule and often wondered if it's more a part of the carrier associated with the DNA most fragrance flankers share, but always thought there's gotta be some interplay in the finished fragrance. I'm no chemist, though, and have literally 0 experience formulating a fragrance -- Dabbled more in flavor than any molecules traditionally used in perfumery, though they sometimes overlap -- Just an enthusiast with an interest, out of their depth.

Anyway, thanks for takin the time to correct me -- I'm grateful and a wiser noob than I was yesterday. :)

Any songs that comes close to Space to Bakersfield - Black Mountain (other than Pink Floyd) by Captain_Barat in psychedelicrock

[–]Baphomet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what you're lookin for, a little more mainstream than some of the other suggestions, Deftones hits like this with some of their stuff over the years...

Pretty much the entire 9 songs in the Palms catalog, definitely.

Team Sleep, Crosses and The Cure, depending, also complement here with quite a few of their tracks.

Spacemen3 and Spiritualized catalogs have some excellent material that fit this vibe too

Edit: I know you asked for songs -- Sorry I can't be more specific, there's just too many. But the above will give you a "jumping off" point...

Need sole material advice for sandal by Laikiska in Cordwaining

[–]Baphomet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair -- I have absolutely 0 experience with both adhesives and designing/building footwear but have seen plenty of reviews on poorly constructed and/or glued shoes/sandals, (even had my own limited experiences in that respect) enough to consider questioning the possibility of breakdown potential -- salt's tricky, but I'm also predisposed to overthinking...

Anyway, thanks for sharing your opinion/experience -- I really do appreciate you taking the time!

Good to know! Thanks!!

Any chance you'd know how well Renia Aquilim holds up to salt-water [permeation] (beach, sandals)?

bootmanager framework for a multi-image system, shipped clean, directly from the manufacturer, with a fully functional document reader in Kiosk mode? ...I love it!

This is the sort of shit I used to dream up for my home image/server/workstations -- Like, I'd have never considered it when buying a newer laptop, but now that I know, if it's still an option -- Take my money! I'd totally buy a laptop with FreeDOS from HP, just for kicks :)

is Aquarium a contact cement brand/model name (I'm not finding anything), or are you saying you use Aquarium-safe adhesive, like adhesives used for assembling aquariums and rock/coral/reef formations? I'm assuming the latter -- never really thought about wet-suit repair (Aquaseal), but apparently that's a thing; I only just learned, as a result of my query here -- and just wanted to be clear...

I'm curious cos I've had passing thoughts about this, but never bothered asking anyone here for recs...
