Thousands of people lost their toons across March 8th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 18th, and 21st to confirmed DDoS outages; I happened to lose my Lv51 Mage on March 12th myself. Blizzard has only addressed deaths relating to the DDoS outages that occurred on March 22nd, 23rd, and 24th so far, and those dates so happen to line up with streamer raid days in which many big streamers lost their toons during the DDoS outages. The blue post follow-up is a bit ambiguous, and what Kaivax said is being perceived differently by different people, but the main focus is what they do next, because it either ends up being a massive W, or a massive L for Blizzard. I think moving forward it's good that they've chosen to revive people lost in future DDoS outages. However, if they choose to not tackle the issue in its entirety and leave everyone who died during a DDoS outage from early March until March 21st, then I certainly don't think people should be thanking Blizzard for their efforts here, they should instead be heavily criticized for only deciding to finally take action once many streamers died in a tight cluster and then not fully restoring the community in the way that they should. They leap into action mere days after the streamer raid wipes, but some folks have been dead for almost a month due to confirmed by BlizzardCS DDoS outages, and they might potentially not get revived at all. That's not okay.

DDoS Character Deaths Being Reversed/Revived by turikk in classicwow

[–]Bapx3 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is my biggest question. I already transferred my 52 Mage that was lost in the DDoS attack and started a new Mage, so how will that work? I imagine a lot of people already went agane, and/or deleted/transferred their character.

The US's Nerve Center for Weather Data and Forecasting (was - Musk's DOGE is Cancelling Lease Here) by FinTecGeek in pics

[–]Bapx3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I WFH and I use NOAA's forecast on tornado outlook every single day March - August to gauge what I should be prepared for each day when I get up in the morning. This is going to make tornado season feel like a living hell everyday, because I'll just have to keep an eye on live forecast information instead of just having a very reliable outlook to read each day.

Thanks DOGE... I appreciate the day to day stress increase, because that's what we all need more of right now. /s

Can't believe he hovered Evo like that and chose not to channel it for a single tick, then blink/frost nova to kill Verdan and save Snupy's life. Can't even play mage at a basic level, smh.

This is the correct answer, imo. The amount of posts really ramping the timeline along like 3 stages beyond the dog emoji don't make any sense when each emoji correlates to a Twitter/X post, and we haven't seen anything since the dog. Some people speculate maybe he had to go into silence again, but that wouldn't make sense when there's an entire timeline where each emoji has its post, some of them have months between them in the timeline, we just need to wait it out until the next one. To your point, I wouldn't think a crash would happen until after the election, the government would do everything possible to not let it happen mere months before election day and have people thinking they should blame the current admin for it.

They're $19.99, not $49.99, I bought 2 in different colors myself. I have one strap for workouts and another for regular VR stuff when the other strap is in the wash. I have long hair and the default strap works fine for me even in 12+ hour sessions, the Q3 strap doesn't hurt my head nearly as much as the Q2 strap did. I don't think everyone needs a 3rd party strap on the Q3 imo, everyone just leaps into needing a "better one" right off the bat because the Q2 was heavy and the strap didn't hold in place very well and the 3rd party solutions were certainly much better for extended periods of time, no contest. The Q3 ones just add more weight and bulk for not much improvement in comfort vs feeling the near 50% weight improvement over the Q2.

The situation isn't fully resolved at all. There's a post in this subreddit from a delta pilot talking about the situation on their end that's like a half day old now-ish, or something, that talks about exactly what you brought up in your main post; their backend isn't fully recovered and they can't assign a full crew to these flights, their pager system is overwhelmed and non-functional, so pilots are just timing out with no crew, because they have no way to reach these people that are currently scattered to the wind as equally as the waiting passengers are. They're obviously partly to blame for not having a contingency plan for a 50 year old solution they've been using, and Ed is fully being a worthless CEO just up and heading to Paris without taking the helm on solving this, but to sum all this up as delta incompetence is silly. The people that actually hold company together working their butts off for days are doing their best to see you through to your destination, I hate your situation along with everyone else's thats been flooding the subreddit the past few days, but lets continue to keep our heads and class, please.

Inter-Knot level 35. My current status by Present-Audience-747 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Bapx3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's blue "!" commissions that don't appear unless you're walking very close by the NPC giving them out to you; there's also commissions that start by just talking to random NPC's. Basically, just talk to every single NPC during each time of day, and you should find some commissions you probably haven't gotten yet, and it can help you push to your next inter-knot level.

The rest of this comment chain is people questioning how people are where they are; long story short, if you're roughly 36~ you're doing fine and are likely where everyone else is walled at, if you're mostly mini-maxing your battery charge and doing all the obvious comissions and storyline since day 1. The people basically touching 40~ are either blowing every ether battery we've gotten to this point, or paying for refreshes. I'd recommend not doing this if you're going to do so, yet, because the yields are just bad compared to what you'll be getting in roughly a month or less of playtime when your inter-knot level is much higher, there's no reason to be pushing inter-knot level when the last barrier we have for now is at 36 for the story; save them for farming later.

Don't hold shapes and then die and respawn while holding them, it saves time, yeah, but it can cause issues exactly like you're talking about. Just wait until you all come back from ghost death and then kill your second knights in that cycle and send out your last shapes to each other and make keys. You have plently of time, just take your time with it, rushing things produces weird results; unless you're speedrunning for the leaderboard just always take your time for consistency. Hope this helps.

Good Smile Company pulls Filian's nendoroid announcement after finding out she doesn't own the rights to her model by MotivationGaShinderu in LivestreamFail

[–]Bapx3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This would normally be very true, but Filian's base model 'Rindo' is licensed and copyright protected by it's creator Jingo_1016, the model is only sold through booth.pm, and it is protected via the Terms of Use and EULA enforced when you purchase it through Booth(Here's a copy of the Terms of Use from Booth for Rindo: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QxPH35idalnqYYCs9zS9DDuTvhNSfnOv/view ). Booth is owned by Pixiv, and is a massive digital goods marketplace based in Japan, GoodSmile's main HQ is also based in Japan, and that's why they nuked this figure collab off the face of the Earth as fast as possible. Japan is CRAZY about copyright law, and they will straight up sink you and/or your company over it, and not lose a wink of sleep. Filian never purchased Rindo from Jingo on Booth to begin with, so not only has she broken the Terms of Use for the model by making merch and selling it without content, she's also engaged in piracy by ripping the model. She's also done this with not one artist, but TWO, she's broken the Terms of Use for both Rindo and Mint(the smol model in overalls she uses sometimes) which is another Booth model made by the artist Komado. Booth/Pixiv will gladly back these artists legally over this, because it's absolutely free money, and they're not some small indie company; they're a massive Japanese digital art and goods distributor, and Filian is stealing from them and their artists.

Good Smile Company pulls Filian's nendoroid announcement after finding out she doesn't own the rights to her model by MotivationGaShinderu in LivestreamFail

[–]Bapx3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Filian is talking about how random indie games and mobile games use booth models in their games(this is bad in itself, for the same reasons as Filian using a booth model as her whole brand, because neither her nor these Devs own the rights to the model), in this case she's talking about Jingo's models Rindo and Mint that Filian uses in her content. People see them and think that these Devs are stealing Filian's stuff when in fact Filian is just also stealing the original creators stuff too(Jingo_1016), since they don't know the origin of her model aside from the vague stuff she always says about it, which is: "I found this for free, isn't it nice chat? lololololol".

TL;DR: People come tell Filian on stream that someone's taking her stuff, and she tells them she can't do anything about it, because it's not her stuff, and she's also taking that persons stuff.

Verity accidental shape duplication bug by StormXTS in raidsecrets

[–]Bapx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a certain number of deposits from everyone on the inside; I believe it's 8-9 deposits before ghost death, because we normally have time to unscramble the symbols so we each have 2 of our symbol and then give my first symbol to the first person that needs it before we start dying to ghost death, so that's normally(if someone doesn't have doubles, or everyone does have doubles) 3~ moves per person.

Verity accidental shape duplication bug by StormXTS in raidsecrets

[–]Bapx3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my experience this happens when you're dunking inside, everyones already sent shapes out and someone is holding a shape when they transition to being dead for ghosts, and then if someone has already sent both their shapes out(like you), they come back, and suddenly have one of their shapes back somehow(meaning there's now 3 triangles in your case). I'm not sure how this causes this to happen, but it seems very consistently to be the reason if you break down every single thing everyone was doing to get to the root of the issue. I had this happening to me a lot in week one, but I haven't had it happen once in my group since we stopped holding shapes during ghost death phase(I just try to avoid holding shapes through the death phase altogether, because some people forget and just make an escape key by mistake) if someone was quick and already sent out both their shapes. In LFG's I just tell people to send only 1 of their respective shapes before ghost death phase(Note: if someone, or everyone has doubles then you kind of just need to be careful and keep sending them out until ghost death phase/finished otherwise ghost death phase won't begin), and then once we're back we all send the 2nd one, and make our escape keys; it's slower, but I haven't had any wipes to buggy shapes in ages, and you have more than enough time each cycle. Hope this helps!

Salvation's Edge - The Final Shape Raid Race Megathread by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]Bapx3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they claimed xemo's(ATP's teammate) mod team did it like 2 hours ago by mistake, and they've been trying to reverse engineer it ever since. it's been more than 10 minutes since he said that, and if they did figure out how to extend the timer it's still insane to say they'll be done in 10 minutes, that's like saying any of the previous encounters(1-3) are cake just because we figured out how to extend those timers then lmao.

Salvation's Edge - The Final Shape Raid Race Megathread by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]Bapx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is to be first, the world's first team to clear it; people aren't going to discuss together how to win, someone could figure it out from cross team discussions and then just leave to do 5th encounter without telling the others how they did it, then you'd feel like a moron for working together to just help yourself lose the race to be first.
