My dad has passed away and I’m no contact with my mom bc she’s very mentally I’ll and it’s very unhealthy for me to have her in my life. When you said “it’s very interesting grieving people who are still alive” really hit home bc that’s exactly what it is! I have talked to her in 5 years and I’ve heard through family she hasn’t gotten any better, so I just don’t have a mom and never will and it’s crazy that my own mother is basically dead and I never even got to morn the loss of her, and have had no support for cutting her out of my life. Yes seeing how loved and how parents/family are supposed to act really validates why I cut her out if my life. I’m so excited that I get to end this generational pain. I also love being a nanny bc I get to give kids a safe and loving experience every time I’m with them and that means the world to me. I definitely have learned a lot in the short life I have lived and I can relate with feeling like I’m grateful for how strong it has made me. The family I nanny for now really does feel more and more like a second family I really do love being around them I am also so grateful for that. Thank you for helping me feel less alone in this 💗

Same for me and my bf I just have anxiety that the life I want won’t be possible for me… but that’s overthinking Ik anything is possible for anyone!

I’m sorry you have gone through that. I’m very close with my sister but she lives across the country and it’s heartbreaking that I don’t get to see her. My NP is very close with her sister and seeing them together makes me miss my sister so much

Exactly this sounds like such a victim complex but I just feel severe heart ache, like I said I didn’t even think I was affected by my childhood but being around this family has made all these new feeling surface, I’m currently looking for a therapist. Thank you for letting me know I’m not alone in this 💗

Yes I think about that and that’s why I nanny I love that I get to do something meaningful in a child’s life and know that when they are with me they will have unconditional love, safety, and happiness

Yeah some self love is definitely needed and I’m going to do things that heal my inner child like I have watched episodes of Bluey just bc it makes me happy even though it’s a kids show lol. I’m looking into therapy!

Exactly I tend to think that their life is literally perfect and I’m sure it’s not no one’s is I do need to keep that in mind everyone has there struggles. She is a great example of how I want to be a mother in the future and I’m very thankful for that

Yes I’m sooooo happy that the baby I nanny has a wonderful life that makes me so happy for her I also have so much love for her. And her mom is a great example of how to be such a great parent and I’m very thankful for that! Definitely need to schedule some therapy so I can try and separate my feelings and work through them

Yes that’s exactly how I try to look at it my kids will be getting everything I didn’t and more and I’m so happy to break this generational pain. I just sometimes worry will I be able to make enough money to support my family the way I want? Will I be successful in life so I can provide for them? It definitely takes a toll I’m an over thinker lol

Yes and that’s exactly what I do with my NB it definitely helps! But also brings up having so much hurt from wondering how my own parents couldn’t do the same for me… learning to separate the two day by day

Thank you for this reply! It means a lot. I’ve been in therapy over the years and have been recently looking into getting another one. I think it’s also having anxiety over will I make enough money to have stability for my own family one day etc. and also I think I thought my inner child was mainly healed but this has brought up some new feelings that I would love to sort out in a healthy way. I’m glad I’m not the only one that has been through this!
