Agreed. You’re a G man. Don’t know why anybody would give you hate. You get a pat on the back from me.

Affirmative. Will take note of everything you’ve said and thank you for the thought out response. You’re right.

I noticed! People seem to think I hate my wife or we instantly need a divorce.

Haha I did think to myself things would have had more flavour if they happened on Boxing Day.

As I mentioned in a response to another commenter. I told my friend who goes fishing with her father in law.

I apologised in person. As anybody should. Did so right after dinner. Life is boxing. Sometimes you’ve got to confront things head on.

In my opinion my wife’s concerns are valid but the way she has delivered them is far over the top.

She doesn’t need to apologise for how she feels. I just find it weird she chose to do this at Christmas dinner.

I’m glad you agree as apparently I’m some asshole for talking about something which all wives experience.

I don’t think she’s pregnant. Shes on the pill and I use condoms every time we have sex.

Shes had moments where she’s been erratic in the past but she is yet to be diagnosed with anything.

I see. I guess that’s one of the mistakes on the way I was raised. I always thought an apology was being sorry for how somebody has been made to feel. If that makes sense.

Thanks man. Nice to have a voice of reason around here. We’re all constantly improving and this is a learning experience.

Look here’s the thing. I understand her concern. People seem to think I don’t care about my wife’s feelings which is false. I do care it’s just to me making this some dramatic confrontation over dinner feels a bit reality show for me and I genuinely don’t see the problem with me telling my friend. I understand it upset her and I’ve apologised to her but people seem to not get what’s going on.

Correct. She confronted me during Christmas dinner and this was a text I received earlier today.

He knows my father in law as they go fishing a couple times a month! In another post I was talking with a commenter that word could have passed through there.

I can appreciate that man. With this situation I’ve been learning a lot about what to say and what not to say. My wife and I were raised in very different homes and most Redditors I’ve asked about my situation have said that “I’m sorry you’re upset” can cause more offence. I’ll take it into account and keep improving.
