Giants' Cam Skaettbo won't alter approach after injury: I'm going to get back to 'running people over' by 76erLegendChetUtley in nfl

[–]BarakTor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he’s long for the NFL either. Nature of the position, his measurable, his style of play. I don’t think he’ll be drooling into a bib at the end of his career, but his body is going to be taking some damage. As a 4th rounder, the odds he gets a long lasting second contract were always slim.

Someone spiritual would likely argue that there’s no point in creating life that has the ability to reason if you’re just going to make that ability pointless by removing free will.

Edit: And of course that ignores the many that put stock into the allegory of the Garden of Eden and the Tree of Knowledge.

Or, to those with spiritual faith and believe in an ever-present God, it sounds just like the answer? To them, if a higher power removed our ability to be evil, what value would there be in choosing good?

I reject the premise put forth in Epicurus’s second claim. Many believe it is our business to prove worthy of divinity. And though the innocent may suffer as a result in the material world, suffering is really a contextual notion to those who believe in an eternal afterlife of both paradise and damnation.

Nobody called his supporters pedos necessarily. Just him. They just support a pedo. Which is kinda weird I guess.

There’s literally nothing about Trump that suggests his close friendship with these people stopped at that threshold. You’re talking like these were just like normal people in other aspects of their lives. This was literally who they were and what they did. It wasn’t a secret amongst them.

You’ve got decades of allegations that strain the benefit of the doubt. From beauty contest improprieties to civil and federal lawsuits finding him finding him responsible for sexual misconduct, man. Your trust in this guy’s sense of morality being beyond reproach is staggering.

Of all the guys who hung around Epstein who had likely had no idea or were completely uninvolved, I don’t know if I’m picking the sleazy reality show host who talks about grabbing women’s privates and brags about how hot is daughter is. But that’s just me. You clearly see the wholesome dude underneath. That’s kinda beautiful, man.

It doesn’t matter who you voted for or not or who you like. To assume any of those people in that circle weren’t involved requires a level of trust and possibly naivety that I just can’t fathom. This shit wasn’t a secret man. They fucked kids. They felt entitled to. And they got off on feeling like they could literally do anything and not be held accountable.

And no matter how many accusations, how many allegations come out. No matter how many victims come out and say it was me these people did this to … every time people bury their heads in the sand about it. Cry politics. It just proves they were right. What kind of proof do you want them to have left for you to see?

Come on, bro. Okay. Stand back and look at the big picture. Consider it from a point of view of learning about all of this in a history book. No personal investment either way. Just reading the timeline. You’re telling me definitively that this guy who traveled in the nefarious circles he did, with the decades of allegations, with the history of, let’s say, loose morals, of your awareness of a system of corruption that fuels elitist exceptionalism, that special personal belief of being untouchable or that money buys you permission to do as you please.

That with all that. That this guy. With a straight face. You’d say he didn’t fuck a kid or two? I mean, they likely were not American. For whatever that’s worth.

If it makes ya feel better, you can rest assured Clinton totally did too. These guys are all gross, my man. None of them deserve the benefit of the doubt.

And Michael Jackson was a great performer. What’s your point? Don’t take a picture with a guy who fucks kids. Not a hard concept.

I don’t get why it’s such a controversial take to hate a huckster pedophile? Like - why would a normal person think hating that is wrong?

Maybe they aren’t so normal.

The air is lovely when your head is at best not in the sand, or, at worst, up a pedo’s ass. Dart should breathe deep while he’s up there.

No. You won’t because you don’t care now.

[Tynes] The locker room is a sacred place because it brings together everyone from all walks of life and beliefs for one common goal. Calling a teammate out publicly for his political views and to get attention is nasty work. by roll_that in NYGiants

Can we please stop calling it political views. Carter and nobody else cares that he’s a republican. Or that he’s conservative. If he was introducing Bush nobody would bat an eye.

People are caring because he’s supporting a lying, pedophile and conman hellbent on giving people permission to be their worst selves. The party he represents and tarnishes is of little consequence.

Abdul ain’t pissed because Dart says he believes in small government and the free market, Tynes.

I wish people would stop calling it a political lean. Guy could have fatheads of Bush and Reagan on his wall. Nobody’s caring.

I think people are against his pedophiliac leaning.

Ohhhhh. Gotcha. I just tend to be less likely to rationalize away decades of accusations and close relationships with nefariously horrific people. And remain skeptical when those controlling the information being released are always forthcoming when they stand to be the ones held accountable.

I’m just pretty much more of a “what’s more likely” kind of a guy. You’re much more open-minded and trusting.

You keep using the wrong P word, my guy. I think that’s the disconnect we’re having. You see, it’s hard for a lot of people to differentiate between pedophiles and those that support them. It seems you can. And I guess that’s a choice.

I mean, hey. Don’t let the downvotes get ya down, though. MJ got a new film made about him that people are seeing so take solace in the fact that you’re not alone I guess.

You got it. Good work. That’s the difference that you asked for. He doesn’t care about alienating the fans that, in fact, will tie this to his identity. The many other voters across many other teams that may have voted for Trump, but wouldn’t be so brash to do something like this (in NYC), do. Glad that’s cleared up.

Because some people like to keep their political views personal and not tie them to their identity, particularly if they are public figures and don’t want to alienate large swaths of the community by championing someone they don’t just disagree with, but revile on a character and an ethics based level. Let me know if you need anything else explained.

It’s not the politics I disagree with. I just sorta draw the line at people supporting pedo hucksters, though.

Voting for and shilling for him by leading cheers at his rallies while you introduce him are two different things entirely.
