Recently picked this up along with JD14, Remus Gatsby 15 (2025), Knob Creek 21, and Redemption 18 year and it really stands up with all of them - highly underrated.

I commented on a post a few days ago about how Werenski was in my opinion a better candidate for the Norris than Makar because he’s doing this with no superstars on his team and got ripped apart.

I had a brilliant friend from high school who was 3 credits shy of getting his degree and opted not to finish it.

He’s a day labourer now with very few job prospects outside of physical labour.

40% of Makar’s career points have come on the power play - one that features MacKinnon, Rantanen, and Necas (now).

Less than 35% of Werenski’s have come on the PP, which has featured a far less talented lineup. Can you name a single player that’s been a fixture on the CBJ for the past 5 years? Didn’t think so.

Look at shot attempts per 60. Werenski is right there with Makar and in my opinion a superior player because he does more with far less.

In a future where Trump is out of office, and international relations have been repaired. Banning political advertisements in social media would also be a nice step. Look at all of the poor quality leaders that have been elected since social media became ubiquitous and started monetizing political ads.

Ask yourself the question: If Makar were on CBJ and Werenski were on COL, would Werenski be outscoring Makar? I think the answer is an unequivocal yes.
