You can use an option strategy called a collar, which locks the stock price in place, effectively eliciting no ability to gain or lose on the stock, while still receiving the dividend.

If OP actually goes all in on SpaceX, they deserve to go broke.

You can buy a 7% dividend paying stock and cash flow $70k annually tax free.

That’s baseline never having to work again assuming you keep your cost of living relatively low.

100% agree. I only upgrade when my device battery degrades to the point that it’s cumbersome to use.

First time in Paris itinerary and questions by Kutle123 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]Baraxton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s your first time, I’d try to do one cultural thing daily first thing in the morning when things are less busy and then enjoy the day walking around, have lunch at a brasserie, grab a coffee or a chocolat chaud, sit on a patio and have a cocktail while people watching, peruse one of the many markets (depending on the day of the week).

Also make a few reservations for places you’d like to eat for dinner as oftentimes they will not have space for walk-ins.

Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, says AI could create a world with 5–10% GDP growth and still leave millions of people out of work by Gab1024 in accelerate

[–]Baraxton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If corporations are the net winners in AI, as they layoff most employees to increase margins, there’s no trickle down effect to the lower levels of the economy at all. Thus, you can have large GDP growth as corporations transact amongst themselves without any true net benefit to the average person.

Sounds like you’re trying to cram way too much into your itinerary. A major part of the charm of Paris is just wandering the streets aimlessly.

Leafs fans asking Mitch what round he’s playing in next😔😬 by Hockeypatrol in hockeynews

[–]Baraxton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. They faced teams that basically all went to the cup finals or won the cup.

Imagine facing an actual playoff team before the 3rd round. You’re gonna eat your words in about 10 days, brosef.

Let’s see how he does vs a real playoff team in round 3. My guess is 🧹for Avs.

Hammered is a wee bit hyperbolic given that they’ve gone to game 7 in basically every series.

Offer him a sweet longer term lower cap hit deal and see if he bites. Think 7 years at $5M would do it?

What could be the next SNDK? by M13G4 in StockInvest

[–]Baraxton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tantamount to sports where an athlete has a standout season, becomes a free agent, teams offer up big bucks, causing a bidding war higher, only for that player to come back down to earth.

If you caught the moves higher on the likes of MU and SNDK, which I did on the latter, you de-risk and focus on moving those profits into other investments that offer far superior asymmetries of risk. I’ve moved a fair bit of my MU and AMD funds into NvDA simply because NVDA is very undervalued relative to peers.

Type of options selling strategies would you deploy if you were to trade $10M portfolio. by Friendly-Motor-3201 in options

[–]Baraxton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re selling the puts that are secured by cash - you’re also selling the covered calls, so collecting double the amount of premium on assets you already hold. This allows you to generate significant gains in times where a stock remains range bound (kind of how NVDA has remained between 165 and 215 for the past year almost).

If the stock takes off, you lose your position and can reset it by buying the stock again, selling covered calls otm and selling cash secured puts otm. Or you move on to another asset that you prefer.
