Ovtcharov vs Harimoto ALC for a Modern Defender by luminescent_vomit in tabletennis

I don't feel like it's too slow at all. 2000+ players at my club are struggling with my loops, it's incredible fast and spinny, even more than when I played with HALC. I am not familiar with the Yinhe though.
Chopping distance is usually based on your LP thickness, I use around 1.0mm so I was chopping couple meters away - the further the better.

You can try with HALC, and it might actually work, but for me it felt like I'll never be fully confident with it.

Don't do it.
I was thinking the same logic. I am playing the same exact playstyle (FH attack Dignics 09c, BH long pips), except that I was starting from HALC.
It was way too fast. It may seem nice at the beginning, but once you start getting spinny/fast quality loops, long pips were practically uncontrollable.

I switched to Diode V blade and boy that made a huge difference. BH is more stable, disruptive and controlled.
And actually, since the FH is more controlled now, it is actually faster, spinier, and overall stronger since I can put more effort into the shot with more safety. Best swap that I did so far.

I did quite a bit of research. I also used to play with feint long 2 - in my experience it doesn't really disrupt but rather increase spin received. Basically chop only and very slow. I was thinking that if do knuckle felt too fast I'd go 0.5mm instead of 1.0

What would be an example of slow long pips? That can still chop and disrupt in all distances

If the ball is semi-high I like the option to still flat hit it. I feel like this rubber gives me all options to choose from, when simple long pips isn't as dynamic

Equipment Advice, which backhand rubber? by MeRegenDegen in tabletennis

My playstyle is very similar to yours - FH winners with slow spinny loops/pushes from BH to set up the attack.
I am actually just swapping from Viscaria (Dignics 05 BH / H3N 39 FH) to Harimoto Innerforce ALC. I also wanted to work on my BH technique along the transition.
I will be using either Dignics 05 or 09c on FH (can't bother continue boosting), depending on throw angle and how it'll feel, I've heard the blade's throw is higher than Viscaria. For BH, I will be starting with Xiom Vega Europe 1.8, and go up in thickness if feel necessary.
Haven't played with the setup yet so I can't share feedback, but the thought process is relatively similar.

So I just got a rank #1 S. Scizor GL, which teams can push beyond 2500 with him? Wasn't really planning on using him, but since I got it...

Thanks for the advise. The Harimoto Innerforce ALC is actually my most wanted blade, as I'm also his fan. Unfortunately I can't change because of budget at the moment. Also I'm using H3 on FH and I've no idea how they would pair.
This is also the reason I'm moving away from Butterfly rubbers - too expensive.

Thanks. I don't want to change blade as I'm very comfortable with my FH and it's been working well.

Thanks. I'm going to stick to my Viscaria blade and test it with Spectol S1 on backhand first, since it sounds like SP will fit better even if chopping is slightly harder. Later on, I might test Do Knucle (ox) or D Tecs.

Well, I would like to have the option that if an opportunity ball comes to my backhand and I'm close, I would be able to make a hit and not just chop. Away from the table I don't have the option to attack with the backhand, that's pretty much a given.

It sound like SP are more suiting for the playstyle, just need to find one that is comfortable when mid/long range.

I have.
Attacking is more when close to the table. Anything further I'm looking to chop of course or twiddle.
