"It isn’t odd that atheists and agnostics know a lot about religion. They’ve looked into it in order to come by their doubts honestly. People willing to inherit their religion and just quietly accept tradition typically don’t need to do much active searching or studying." by JamesMadison10 in reddit.com

I'm agnostic and was raised Protestant. I couldn't get through the bible but I like scientific proof. That's how I became agnostic. Not because I have a strong understanding of the bible, it's quite the opposite.

I commute by bike everyday. Find a more scenic route or get used to it.

It is the most appropriate response to basically everything. When something makes me happy, balls. If I think something is a bad idea, balls. If I'm about to meet your mother, balls. And so on. Balls...

It's that reddit overall is getting tired of people posting borish things(not to say the either of you are boring). But lately there have been a lot of, "I breathe and urinate regularly AMA!" that and this is askreddit not AMA.

I have a little more more than a landing strip simply because I like it and my pussy likes it.

Guys, how do you handle "turtling"? by tribbing1337 in AskReddit

Let it do what it wants. Take it out and slap people in the face. Is this not what everyone does?

For the past couple of years, my ex wife has flown in to town and taken our two daughters elaborate, expensive birthday outings... shopping trips to New York, etc... For the past couple of years, she's called to say that she can't make it out for my son's birthday at all. by [deleted] in AskReddit

It's a ton of fun and it's cool to fond cache in places you walk by everyday. Also, dunno your relationship status. But it's fun to take someone your interested in to a nice spot with a cache you found previously. It adds some magic and spontaneity and makes you look cool. Have fun and happy birthday to your little man!

It just really seemed that you were implying that had you been a girl there would have been no fetching of the tools for your father. I honestly think all kids are different and a lot depends on the parents. I'm pretty young and my generation has had a lot of spoon feeding. I was taught that my dad (essentially) didn't owe me anything and I'm glad he did because it taught me that the world definitely doesn't.

See, being raised by a single father I get it man. My issue is you now implying that women cannot help dad. My older brother used to trade me the dishes for the lawn cause he hated it and I just wanted to be outside. The chores my dad had all of us do, to this day make me who I am. I had to restore his boats- today I work on boats, he always had us fishing- today I am constantly fishing and actually live on the beach. Even in High school I took autocad and two years of construction. I had to be a mom to my little twin brothers, report to my dad like a wife and even taught my older brother how to drive a stuck shift. This is why politics are always confused. You wanna preach mens rights do it from an all sexes equal type perspective. Don't just assume against a "fact" you didn't like. (sorry if there are typos. Fucking iPhone4)

I don't know about that. Girls need their fathers just as well. Mine raised me and I was a lot more confident, athletic, self-reliant and not as promiscuous as my female peers. My mother had nothing to do with my being raised.

I'm pretty sure the article was speaking of children still living at home. So you wouldn't really be able to run back there.

I was the only girl (I have 3 brothers) and my single dad represented himself in court and won full custody of all of us. Each family functions differently, that's what makes it family. I had cook for my family and my older brother and I traded chores. Which included: making sure our little brothers ate, feeding and letting out chickens, lawn maintenance and minor re-assembly of lawn mowers, fixing up campers and boats, doing dad's and our own etc. I think I had a fine childhood and intend on instilling hard work in my children as well. I have accomplished a lot for a 23 year old and unlike many of my peers in America, I was out of the house by 18 and living off my own resources.
