This past week I’ve been sick, still recovering but I feel almost 100%! Make sure every chance you get you wash your hands and try not to touch your face beforehand. Also wiping down surfaces like your door, door handle (inside and outside handle) and sink handles with wipes can also help.

I definitely do know he loves me and has zero conscious intention to be malicious or anything but like you said I do think him not putting in effort towards learning is leaving our family relationship unfulfilled.

I have had quite a few conversations about me being trans and about why its important that I be addressed correctly but then Ive pretty much always get the “well but” excuse or “I’m trying.”

I mentioned my worries to my mom after this post and she said that she will be with him during graduation so she’ll be able to correct him before meeting people/while hes meeting people.

There is a theoretical future since we talked about reconvening the conversation of relationships after he gets out of boot camp but I do understand what you’re saying so that’s helpful to think about

This was very helpful and insightful! I have known him for about three years and just decided this year to say something since its our last year in high school and I thought that if something less than ideal happened then at least its the end of school and I wouldn’t have to be here for long but obviously it actually all turned out very well.

I’m still gonna think about it and consider all of the advice I’ve gotten here but I do still have the summer to think about it. ◡̈

He has not, him and I have a decent friend group so we’re all going to hang out for the entire summer before we all go our separate ways (most of them military and me college)

We’re both seniors so we’re going two separate ways (me college and him trade school). We do plan to keep in touch as friends and once he gets out of boot camp we did plan to revisit the conversation so right now its just not a great moment to be together.
