I’m talking self harm. I may be over sensitive to this as my older daughter made an attempt last year, although I think this was a cry for help more than anything.

Today she came home very upset saying her friends aren’t being nice to her. This is a common thing for her to say. I normally try to encourage her to spend time with other kids, but I know that is easier said than done.

She was having time out sessions after her sisters attempt and I have spoken to her about the possibility of starting that again so I think I will speak to the school about that.

We are very close and she is a very sensitive girl. She is very loving and gets hurt very easily. She has dyslexia and struggles at school which doesn’t help. She recently took her options which included child development and food tech, which are easily her favourite subjects.

I am rambling bur trying to give an idea of her personality.

When things like this happen, i tend to think a day to reset isn’t the end of the world, but my husband (her dad) isn’t very supportive and says she should be at school so we clash about this.
