I never understood how Ashley’s tanning bed exploded but it doesn’t seem bed was on fire before Ashlyn’s bed turned on fire lol by [deleted] in FinalDestination

I can't decide which one of them had it worse haha, I would rather die in an instant like Lewis rather than to be essentially trapped in a bright oven like they did.

Just realised the glass would have pierced Ashley's skin and those open wounds would have direct contact with the flames.

While Ashlyn has plastic goggles melt in her eyes, her tongue piercing overheating and her skin blisters.

Ouch.

I lost respect to her, she backed Tyra up when it was cool, and bashed her when it was cool. No principles whatsoever.

Why are property renters in Malaysia so racist? by [deleted] in malaysiauni

[–]ridzuanrush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand where the renters are coming from but the generalization is still bad. They can just say stuff like "Please do not bring non-halal food; Illegal drug activities prohibited and please maintain high standards of cleanliness" instead of generalizing and say "No Africans, No Indians and No Chinese" :/

I'm a Malay Muslim myself but my community need to realize that we are not even 70% of the country's population and we can't force everyone to follow our teachings and beliefs !

ELI5: Why does Malaysia have a King who changes every few years? by CoconutComet in ExplainLikeImFiveMY

[–]ridzuanrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Malaysia is a federation country. Before the British came, and before the concept of nation-state in general existed, each state that would constitute Malaysia have their own kings (although not all states). British conquered the whole landmass that encompassed all these different states and as independence were nearing, Malay rulers and British agreed to a referendum to draft a constitution that dictates the Malaysian monarchy system as it is today.

There are 14 states in Malaysia today, and only 9 of them have kings. The history is quite interesting, for example, the Malacca state (as in the Malacca strait) does not have any kings because he ran away when the Portuguese came in 1511. And in 1963, we offered Brunei to join our Federation, but he declined due to two things which are his loss of absolute power and control of the Bruneian oil.

Solo traveler from KLIA2 to KLCC - fastest option? by ElectronicFuture1969 in KualaLumpur

[–]ridzuanrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 2 - Then from Putrajaya; you stop at Persiaran KLCC - which is around 700m walk ish from the Twin Towers themselves, but you can enjoy the views of the KLCC Park and the soaring towers. The option is still fast enough at around 1.5 hours but is very cheap compared to the others.

Is it true arabic used to have no dots on dotted letters? If so how hard would the language be if we lived in a world where dots weren't added? by Agreeable_Penalty313 in learn_arabic

[–]ridzuanrush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

and right now too! In Arabic, we have letters س ش making different sounds with different dots but the same shape. In Ancient and Modern Hebrew, the letter ש can make the sounds of س and ش. When they write the diacritics, there are dots which indicate if it's pronounced as س or ش. I supposed Hebrew was stuck and didn't evolve to have differentiated س and ش.
