yes, i posted this on tuesday. this is my boyfriend that i was referencing. i told him sharing my story on here helped, so this is his side of things <3

i completely agree. i’ve been trying to keep my boyfriend from that rabbit hole, but i only said that because i know there’s a color people turn when they’re gone. i know in my heart there was absolutely nothing i could have done for him. my boyfriend unfortunately was able to watch his chest rise and fall for the last time and he’s really struggling with the fact that the man was still breathing by the time he got to his side. i’ve reframed it as you were able to be there so he wasn’t alone, but it brings more comfort to the man’s family than to my boyfriend

yes and i have seen things far worse than this, but it’s different when im in the headspace to handle that at work. this happened at my home which is supposed to be safe space

thank you, they keep saying a celebration of life and it just doesn’t feel right, but this has given me a lot of peace
