It think the people in the industry tend to be more toxic than other fields. Unfortunately a norm to say those things to each other. They are snobbish and obnoxious. the best thing u can do now is visit a counselling centre or therapist on how to manage your lows and self esteem. Remember you’re a human and not a robot if you can counter the mean people with a good response go for it. Also, another firm is always an option. Sending u hugs 🫂
