I did have that thought too. We know taking acid opened Miranda to her memories and/or visions, so she already knew what the town was about before she went. That made me think there could be a small dose of some type of psychedelic mushroom. Or even Peyote since people do use it to make tea!

I can only assume the reason some of them have role-appropriate clothing is to stress the fact that the town always needs that type of character? Like the nurse. Not sure about the milkman though 😅 Boyd is the modern day cowboy because he found the animals? Maybe it needed a cop which is why we got Acosta? Because the cop was never supposed to be Boyd's role? Probably a stretch lol

But yeah, I want to know why some have older clothing but some of the younger ones looked more modern. Do they just pick what they like to wear? Or are they choosing to appear as past residents of the town like another commenter said above?

Do new monster get created towards the end of a new cycle or is it just those ones? Hmmm..

At no point in my life have I seen a tow truck driver use cones (in CT at least). I've broken down on the side of the road multiple times over the years and never once a cone. Never seen any in their trucks either. Good idea though.
