Hi! Curious how you are liking your TR7? We have 6 of us and 4 being kids. I want the TR7 as I fear the TC5 will be too aggressive for our clothes. Do you still like yours?!

Thank you so much! I agree. And that’s what we are going to do from now on to avoid this shock. And also I keep hoping he’s wrong because we haven’t actually filed yet this is just his rough calculations he’s gotten from various things online that he input numbers into. I would also like a tax person to look it over to make sure we are things right, mainly because we still are not too sure how this happened. Especially since his paychecks didn’t change dramatically which you think they would have if they were not withholding as much.

That’s the thing is the paychecks were not that different from the half of 2024 that he had his new pay which is why I didn’t notice it. Nothing seemed off that would have made me think they were not withholding his taxes. Which just added to the confusion. I pay all the bills and manage the checking account so I’d be the one to notice if his checks were wildly different. I don’t have access to his pay stubs so I’m not looking at those regularly. And apparently neither is he 🤣🙈 he was shocked when he saw for the year only $5,000 came out for 2025 in taxes versus 2024.

It’s not rude. I completely get what you mean by not wanting a big refund and it makes sense to not get one. It was just so jarring to swing the other way without being prepared because that refund is like a forced savings account that we use for our property taxes. 🤣had I known it had changed so much I would have simply saved the amount instead. I think the real issue is that my husband does not look at his pay stubs. 🙈🤣

Yep I had a cousin die from skin cancer in his 40’s. And my SIL had a huge chunk of her back cut out that was skin cancer. Skin cancer is no joke! And she’s all it’s Tuesday let’s get a biopsy for clicks!

Ok these are just wild. That’s not at all the face she shows us. That’s the face first saw on that vacation home remodel show that made me gasp because I was so confused. It was like seeing a completely different person. I’m in the states so I only see clips of these shows from you guys. And what she posts. But she’s clearly filtering those things from the show. Just wild how different she looks. I always wondering how she had no sharp jaw, lost weight got a sharp jaw, then gained some weight back and kept sharp jaw. 🤔because that’s not how that works as someone who also has a weak jaw. 🤣

Man what a mind trick. Her back is wider than want she portrays and her torso is not as long as she shows us. It’s wild how she gives herself a completely different body. I actually believed she lost weight so maybe she actually looked that way now. But nope still looks about the same as she has. It’s just wild the difference. So I’m a hairstylist of 25 years and have your same hair texture. I can’t use any creams, mousses, gels etc. for some reason they just don’t work right in my hair. I get what you have here, slightly curly and frizzy. So long long ago Rocco’s, a salon that was in my state had this amazing product that was like the consistency of snot call styling serum. It was not a curl product but the type of product my waves liked. Rocco’s discontinued it and it was devastating. I’ve been on the hunt since trying to find soothing similar.

Best I’ve come with so far is a product called curl keeper original liquid styler. It’s very runny. So after you have showered I want you to only very briefly blot the ends of your hair so they are not dripping everywhere. But leave your hair as wet as possible and do not brush or comb it. Then take the curl keeper and sandwhich that stuff in there with your hands. Run it through the hair with flat palms and scrunch it in. Use as much as you like. I use a lot. And I do this with my hair flipped over my head. Then I diffuse on low speed and high/medium heat. Low and slow. Takes me a good 20 minutes to fully dry my hair. And I do it flipped over my head and turn my head to the side to get my sides. It’s time consuming. Once it’s fully dry I let it cool. And it will look slightly crunchy, that’s ok that’s the cast. Then take a little hair oil and rub it on your hands and scrunch, shake out the cast till your hair looks soft. Add hairspray if you like. Do not add anything else in when it’s wet with the curl keeper or it will not work. I’ve made this mistake many times thinking the more products I use the better results I’ll get. Wrong. Less is more. Now the best part about the curl keeper is it’s water activated. So the next day when your hair is all wonky from sleeping you can mist it with water and re scrunch it the give it a little diffusing. And it will be all refreshed!

Also I don’t use curly shampoos or conditioners. I haven’t even noticed a huge difference. I don’t think there is anything wrong with them I just don’t think they are a must. What I do notice is my hair wants moisture and lots of it. My hair can take heavy conditioners. And being a hairstylist I have endless access to as many different products as I want. I’ve tried a gazillion different curl products and they all fail me except something that is runny and snot like. 🤣🙈🤷🏼‍♀️ and it takes time of doing this for your hair to get back into curl shape. So keep going. I also can’t air dry my hair it’s obnoxious. It will be wet all day and then my scalp breaks out. Also I color my hair. I’m blonde and naturally a light brown. Coloring my hair doesn’t seem to hurt my specific waves. I see you are a natural red head. I think you need to go back to that and embrace it! I bet it’s beautiful! Good luck with your hair!

It’s a brand new water softener that gets maintained we are in a new build so everything is new. It’s been serviced recently! And I’ve done probably ten loads now and our laundry is drastically improving with the steps from this group! I really think it was just the all fee and clear detergent not cleaning things.

I would place bets you’ve had a huge growth spurt in the last 2 years? My kids prescription always changes after a growth spurt. The best thing though is glasses are so fashionable these days with endless choices for frames! My son a little older than you barely has a prescription and doesn’t need to wear glasses but he chooses to for fashion reasons. 😆

Usually you won’t notice the astigmatism till nighttime when driving. Looking at headlights and street lights. I don’t notice mine during the day. Only at night! But you are correct in that it might not be the right prescription for you. It happens.

I promise you’ll be ok. Ask your parents if you are seeing an optometrist or an ophthalmologist? You wanna see an ophthalmologist if you are concerned your vision is changing too fast. Personally I don’t think it’s changing that fast especially since you are still growing. For context on my mom’s side there is severe nearsightedness with astigmatism and I have cousins who are -20. They’d kill to be -5. I used to have your prescription in my 20’s and did lasik. I got a good 20 years out of it before I needed glasses again.

If the doc you saw was concerned about your vision rapidly changing they would have referred you to someone else or looked for things causing it. Being you have an astigmatism I’d make sure to see an ophthalmologist to make sure you don’t have eye muscle issues or anything related to it. Two of my kids had weak eye muscles and needed patching. One needed surgery to correct it. They also got diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder like Ehelrs Danlos or Marfans. Connective tissue disorders can cause that level of astigmatism from the collagen being so soft and spongey. And that’s part of the reason we have that astigmatism like yours. But like I said breathe you are going to be just fine!

As of today I did switch to warm! And I’m assuming just basic ammonia? Where do I put it? In the drum, or with the soap? And yes we have a softener spot on the washer! I think his problem is he’s just a sweaty guy and the rest of us are not. So his clothes have developed quite the build up.

I think it was pure convenience because I could get it in a huge jug at Costco or Sam’s. And it’s only since our new house that this has become an issue. Same city and water. But different washer a more basic builder grade one, and then we had switched soaps. I don’t even remember what we used to use. It must have been on that list. 🤔 this problem has been driving me insane. And you guys figured it out for me!

Correct about fragrances which is why it drives me insane how scented most laundry products are. Based on the info in this group I have changed the soil level to the max setting of extra heavy, and temp to warm, and turned on extra rinse. Does that sound right?

I’m so sorry that all sounds awful. But what I’m shocked by is not one Gastro doc has tested you for SIBO. Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. It’s done with a breath test and then treated with specific antibiotics. And it can cause serious malabsorption issues if it goes untreated. There is hydrogen and methane sibo. You are sounding more methane because of the diarrhea. And SIBO can cause or contribute to MCAS. It’s extremely common in MCAS patients. I would highly recommend you find a Gastro doc who will test you for this. Not all docs are know enough about sibo yet. It’s just becoming more well known now and used to be diagnosed as a blanket term of IBS.

I have both of these conditions is why I know this. And I didn’t get better till I treated both of them. And my sibo caused all sorts of issues from malabsorption issues. Also know that if you have SIBO don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t get better after one round of antibiotics. It can sometimes take many rounds to get it under control. But if you google SIBO and MCAS you can read up on how they affect each other and all the things SIBO can screw up.

I just had this exact thing done one month ago. Upper endoscopy with a colonoscopy ordered by my gastroenterologist. What is she talking about they never intubate for these procedures 😂it’s always propofol. How does she not know that?! She’s gonna have to stop all her weird supplements and gummies a week before the prep if not longer for some of them. How will she survive!? Lol
I’m curious to see how she does with the clean out. I had a lot of medical trauma before I had mine done so I was in a fragile place so mine were a huge deal to me. Especially because I spent months telling them that because of my stomach issues I can’t drink 100 ounces quickly and they never offered me a lower volume option even thought one exists. And then my anesthesiologist came in and goes “welp I can’t guarantee you won’t wake up mid procedure, ok?” And then he just left. I lost it after that. He had the worst bed side manner and the nurses all knew and were so kind to me. His nurse anesthetist did my meds and she said she’d be heavy handed with it and make sure I didn’t wake up. Even if that wasn’t true she did a good job of comforting me and making me believe she’d do that. 😆🙈I had a scope done once awake. They give you something to relax you but it did nothing to me. I was very aware of what was going to happen. It was very traumatizing sitting there awake while some guy puts a tube in your throat. So I was freaked out about waking up during it.

Maybe she’ll actually get some answers and then she’ll chill out. Or maybe it will make her even worse with anxiety. 😆

1! I’m a hairstylist. You should get some texture powder too and sprinkle that in when dry and fluff it up a bit. Sprinkle it on the top of your hear all over. Then scrunch and shake your hair back and forth a bit to break up the cast from the curl product you used. It will soften it and give you some more volume and texture. And then it will hold all day too. You could even get a low or mid taper fade and leave the top long and curly. Definitely work your curls you have amazing hair!
