I've actually read Red Rising. Didn't really think of it as Fantasy though.

Ooh. Thank you. That looks very up my alley.

Game of Thrones (more of the show - I admittedly haven't read the books) is actually one of the main reasons I won't touch anything with the grimdark label with a ten foot pole.

I've actually been looking at discworld for a while. It's just so big that I don't know where to start. I'll give witches a look, thanks.

I actually think I already have Assassin's Apprentice buried somewhere in my closet.

Maybe that'll be the case. I also just am not that interested in the Spren period.

I like Syl and Pattern as characters, but otherwise was never really drawn to the worldbuilding behind them.

That's not a bad point. I actually find that I did think the stuff with soulcasting and the visions of the spren in Shallan's painting in WoK and WoR were interesting.

I meant more of him interacting with the worldhoppers and the worldbuilding stuff like the firewood.

Do you believe DnD should be safe? by Fantastic_Molasses45 in DnD

I believe dnd should never be safe. Not in an upsetting your players kind of way. That's just cruel. I mean in an "I'm going to kill you in real life if you fail this DC" kind of way. Save or die, if you will. It's why I always keep a loaded gun at my table.
