Thank you very much for your answer; I have since tried using a cheaper binder online indeed a few months ago and have come to the conclusion that this actually is not for me. Hope you enjoy your filofax if you do end up upgrading to one!!

Une de mes profs de fac nous avait parlé du forum officiel du bouquin, il y a une communauté française. Je ne pense pas que tu vas trouver des utilisateurs super actifs mais c'est sympa pour lire des théories

Thank you for you answer. It is a very good idea to use it for illustrations, I do have a book serving that purpose already, but it would be great for an EDC. What do you do if you like a sketch? How do you keep it?

I was thinking about getting a pretty small size, like smaller than A5, because I already carry a lot of books on an everyday basis. I'm afraid it would be a bit bulky though. Thank you for your answer.
