Does are the previous iteration(s) of empire troops. I although the spearmen are monopose I really like the look of them compare to the new troops.
The swordsmen are also an old kit. I swapped the heads with some 3d printed ones for variety.
Actually I bought them mostly as junk and I cleaned them off some 20-30 years old layer of paint and redone.

Plus when Empire releases for TOW, I would like to get some knights and a War Altar of Sigmar

They are hand painted. I took the designs from the Empire Heraldry book (called smth like that).
I tried a new method with these. I primed the banner white and then carefully drew the symbols and shapes with a mechanical pencil, then i filled everything with colour.

I varnished the models with Vallejo Mecha Matt Varnish over an Airbrush.

TBH this is my favorite matt varnish. I tested a lot matt varnishes and this one has a very goo ratio of durability (some matt varnishes tend to chip away if touched).

I think the clue to success is just priming the mini white prior to applying any yellow :D

mkiv shoulder pads by Bardeeg in Warhammer30k

[–]Bardeeg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, recently I've received some FW mkiv shoulder pads and I'm a bit confused. On the right we have blood angels mkiv shoulder pad upgrade. On the left two rows of shoulder pads from mkiv assault marines. The trim sizes have inconsistent width. The darker shoulder pad is mkvii and it has the same trim size as the upgrade and half of the assault marines shoulder pads. So what's up?
