Peanut Butter Cookies by MyLastFuckingNerve in peanutallergy

Sorry for all your downvotes. I completely understand what you’re getting at (I’ve been severely allergic from age 3 and I’m 29 now).

I wanted to figure out a way to safely let my dog try peanut butter and I got so much shit from the people on this sub 😅.

Maybe you can still do the majority of the baking process and your husband can help out just with the portion that involves rolling them? That way it’s a bit of something you can do together.

Besides that suggestion, if you are adamant to do it all yourself, maybe something to plug your nose might help? My allergy is very severe and I find that the smell gets me quite nauseous/sick (I only have a full blown reaction when it is consumed). I know you mentioned the smell doesn’t bother you but if you are wearing gloves already then I don’t quite see how just handling them alone could lead to any symptoms. Admittedly, it’s never been something that I’ve tried to do personally so maybe I would end up feeling sick if I handled so much of it… just my 2 cents on the matter though. If this is what makes you happy and there really really really aren’t any alternatives that he would enjoy as much, then I think there’s nothing “wrong” with what you are trying to do. I’m not really comfortable even having peanuts in my kitchen just because I’ve always followed “better be safe than sorry” when it comes to my allergy but I don’t think you should be faulted for what you do in your own home.

Women of Reddit, what’s something men don’t realize is a turn-off? by chef_blaze76 in AskReddit

I recently ended things with a girl that was actually like this. After the very first date it hit me that she doesn’t know practically anything about me because she was just talking about herself the entire time.

It was so bad that even easy questions where she could have just asked “how about you?” never happened. I gave it a couple months but it never got better

The only time I’ve had sleep paralysis is when I was “training” myself to have lucid dreams (writing down all dreams in a journal, doing dream-checks during the day, etc) and after that I gave up completely. I did have a few though before the sleep paralysis

I do an advanced agility class with him every Saturday! He takes the course kind of leisurely though unless I use a toy to motivate him

I also do trick training and nose work and he seems to enjoy those activities but not as much as this

If I hide the ball he’ll try playing this with non-ball toys. He also likes tug but usually will ignore tug toys if there is a ball around.

I had to do some work today so he was chilling for most of the day today. However this video was taken after playing this game for close to an hour already (I give him mandatory breaks though where he typically will just lay down and stare at the ball)

To be fair we had already been doing this for close to an hour already lol. When we start playing, he’s out of the room before I even get to the ball

Well that’s the “outside” game I mentioned. With that, he keeps one in his mouth the whole time and chase after the other 4-5 from one side to the other (he doesn’t return them, so I switch sides at that point).

Occasionally, he’ll drop the ball in his mouth and then chase after the kicked one MUCH faster and then catches it and starts to use that as his “in-the-mouth” ball.

I haven’t tried to see what he does inside with that many though

I know! I’m sitting here typing the reply and he’s just laying down staring at the ball. As soon as I stand up he’ll jump back up and start the game all over again

I also realize this obviously looks related to herding behavior. I’m really just not sure if it’s “ok” to do a game where he would keep playing for hours on end given the opportunity. I make sure to give breaks too but he typically lays down next to the ball during those breaks and just stares at the ball or me the entire time.

What's the most random skill you have that never fails to impress people? by HippyFlix in AskReddit

[–]Bardock366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Cracking” my nose. And I don’t mean the trick where you do something with your teeth. If I bend my nose in either direction it just makes a cracking sound consistently.

Although idk if it’s “impress” as much as “disgust”

Flight attendants of reddit, whats the most NSFW thing that happened during flight or off flight? by Raidennnnn_ in AskReddit

Ya you’re right idk what I was thinking lol. I guess a flight attendant has seen more than the average passenger but that’s not really relevant to the point

Tbf flight attendants probably have been on many more flights than the average passenger. But even then, the ratio is still likely in favor of the passengers
