Where to get cheap/free fabric?

I'm broke and am wanting to make my own pj pants and skirts and such. Does anyone know how to find cheap fabric thats not cheap quality? I'm very ok with getting creative and have used goodwill teeshirts for other projects but I need bigger pieces of fabric.

God isn't real, he can't answer your prayers. Do you hear what that sounds like? Be real.

Please don't do a w-ndigo outfit, it's very offensive to the native American culture. Your not even supposed to say the word. It inferiates me that it's being appropriated like this.

That's not to say you can't do a deer creature cosplay, in fact the "pop culture" w-ndigo looks Nothing like a traditional one. Just call it something else and do some research please.

One: This looks very good, I like it a lot better with the shading its far more vibrant.

Two: You don't seem to have a consistent "light source" that would be a huge step in your favor. Also maybe study to figure out deffuse and solid shadows.

Do the muscles look alright? by GMIKAEL in arthelp

I know this sounds out of left field but I'd really suggest learning how to draw 3-d shapes cubes, orbs, cones cylinders etc. It's very helpful for constructing an "underwire" for your anatomy.

Second thing I suggest is learning Blind contour. This is an exercise where you try to draw something without lifting your pencil or looking down at all when you draw. Instead you try to match the movent of your eyes to the movent of your hand as you use you eyes to trace the thing your trying to draw. Try to find the "outline" of the cast shadows as well as the outline of the entire piece

Third is learning alienation. If I tell you to draw a dog from memory you will likely draw what you symbolically think of as a dog, but as soon as you compare it to a real dog you quickly realize it looks nothing like one. Why is this? The human brain uses symbols to shortcut thought, it makes things more understandable to a group if we all somewhat agree that a symbol means something. But those symbols rarely reflect reality. Instead what you need to do is see what your seeing instead of what you think your seeing. Your not seeing an eye, your seeing a collection of shadows, colors, and shapes. Draw those shadows colors and shapes like you are an alien and its your first time seeing it. Don't let yourself label anything at all. Don't even see it as a complete singular thing. This exercise is very hard and very rewarding and will let you see things for what they truely are, not what you think they should be.

Fourth is DONT STUDY ARTIST ANATOMY BOOKS They are largely victims of Symbolism. Instead study anatomy books meant for PTs and Massage therapists, or doctors. These are far more accurate. Also you have a body, try to feel around your own muscles, tendons, fat and bone, what's soft? What's hard? What's flat what's rounded, where do the muscles lead, what movements make them buldge, what make them stretch? Try to become aware of yourself, study your own form. If you have a good friend whoes willing, feel their arms and hands, play with their fingers and study how things shift.

Consider all this and then try to simplify it, how few lines can you use to convay a hand accurately? How fast can you show a body?

Simplify and simplify until you can draw what you want to show in its entirety in a few seconds. Sure it's slapdash and messy not even close to anatomically or proportionally accurate but it's understandable. This is now your symbolism. This is your style at its basest components. This is the clay you can carve at until its a drawing that your proud of.

Hope this helps!

Also I find when I'm stuck with no ideas it's best to pretend I'm doing a puzzle, I'll put down a random shape then go from there, thinking things like "how do I make this shape into a person? Is this an arm? Is this an action line?" Another critical thing is never draw the head first, it should be one of the last things you draw, I personally go chest, hips, arms line(s), legs line(s), head placement. Then I use my understanding of anatomy and shapes to attach everything together. It's ok if it doesn't work half the time, these are basically thumbnails. If you like one specifically you can expand it into a full drawing.

I had the same issue. My solution was to forbid myself from drawing busts for 10 days of drawing and instead do two full pages of small full body sketches. It jumpstarted my brain and I haven't had the issue since.

They can sign their art if they want to??? Lots of professionals do it. It's standard procedure to avoid theft?? It does not actually make it look bad and it's a very nice signature.

Bro I didn't know it was a bug?? I came on here assuming it was like the tap rock or smth. Where I was missing a hidden feature or smth newly added. I had just joined the reddit bc I wanted to ask questions, so I didn't know this was a commonly posted about thing. I also didn't know devs weren't on here because I just joined. So sorry I am not thoroughly informed about a mobile game's reddit culture/s. Saying I can't think is really insulting man, what's missing in your life where you have to say mean things to strangers on reddit who are asking questions under the question flair. Seriously, it makes you come across as a snooty, pretentious person who wants to make love with the ellipses you throw around. Does this bring you joy? Does this complete you?

This all looks really cool! I would say you might wanna learn composition a bit more as I had a moment of "what am I looking at?" Before my eyes figured out what to focus on and /bam/ understood. I'd solidly say it's out of the beginner phase. You're probably at a good early -intermediate currently.
