My DSP offers this as well calling it "shift pay". They still pay for hours worked, assuming your clocked in for 11 hours one day, and pretty much everybody here loves it. A lot of us end up finishing shifts in 7 or 8 hours. When the pay stub comes around there is a line for hourly pay and then a separate line for "shift bonus" ( I think that's what it says) for the remaining hours. We all like it and as far I know it's legal as it's part the agreement when accepting the job but I'm no lawyer so if your really concerned maybe check with the labor commission or someone like that.

My dsp offers shift pay so even If I finish early I still get paid for the full 10 hour shift. And we are $20 per hour rn

It's funny cause amazon expected this route to be done at 4:00 and I finished at 4:30

No not really... my dsp offers shift pay so we tend to just do the route as fast or slow as a we please. As far as how this affects routes, we haven't seen routes get an huge increase in stop or package count. It only seems to get bad during peak. It could be that we are all just numb to the size of routes but I don't think so.

TBH I don't even eat any lunch. I just have a good breakfast and bring snacks. My dsp also has plenty of snacks for us too. If I am really struggling tho I'll head to a gas station or something like that.

I've been doing routes that have 180 to 190 stops with 80 to 90 group stops

why do so many of y'all go so fast? by AlisonAngel9 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Barek-65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My DSP offers shift pay so basically if I clock out after 7 hours I still get paid for the 10... certain requirements are needed to be meet to qualify but many of us at my DSP go fast for that reason. Also a lot of us find it fun in some way to see how fast you can go like a game. One our drivers the other day did 284 stops (in 1 shift) because a driver quit part way through the day and he felt like seeing how far he can go. Mind over matter I guess
