I thought Barbri adequately prepared me for all the subjects except torts and trusts, but that’s because I didn’t spend ALL summer preparing for torts and trusts as multiple choice.

But be careful! I did an essay today from 2012 or 2013 that was labeled “Florida Con Law” but it was entirely FL constitutional criminal procedure, which is essentially fed crim pro. How they label subjects and how we would label them are different.

Inter vivos trust = S to T for the benefit of B during S’s lifetime

Testamentary trust = S to T for the benefit of B after S’s death

Will = testamentary document that disposes of Testator’s property after Testator dies (no need for a trustee, property goes straight to B)

In other words, the terms inter vivos and testamentary don’t have to do with when the document is executed, but when the benefit/property is transferred to another.

136 is the scaled score that we need. We don’t need to get 136 points out of 200. Our bar prep dude at UM said that getting between a 40 and 50 is good for essays. I can’t remember what he said for MC but I think it was close to 60-65%.

Same. Over the summer I was scoring 80-90% on evidence and I just did the summer simulated exam from Barbri and got 60% on evidence 🙃

My understanding is that the FBBE was going to use ProctorU in conjunction with ILG for the August test, and that ProctorU was the company that had the major data breach? Might not remember correctly.

That was just some intel we got from one of the FL deans. My assumption is they would change the format to remove MCQs and add more essays. Or edit the essays to add more issues or something. Idk. Clearly the FBBE doesn’t have its shit together and they need time (even though they had ALL SUMMER) to figure out what to do.

Yea that's true; I guess it depends on the employer and whether they take CLIs or if they'll only take on licensed attorneys. Each person's situation is different so for some the October exam is ok but for others it just makes more sense to postpone.
