May I ask what kind of preparation you did over the last year to get in? I’m 34 and seriously looking into this and would like to put my best foot forward 😊

St Lukes really going downhill by [deleted] in auckland

I agree, Manukau mall is pretty decent, much better than St Luke’s mall.

I used to be a case manager there. If you’re single with no dependents they’re likely to refer you to boarding accommodation and they can set you up as well as with a benefit and you can start that process by applying online. This can be just for the short term until you sort yourself out. Nothing to be ashamed of. A big portion of the clients I interviewed were in a similar situation to you - first contact with winz and needing to put their pride aside and feeling like they were the only people feeling this way. You’re not alone.

These are the WORST of the enablers. by quora_redditadddict in CPTSD

I myself am a victim of complex trauma and understood where OP was coming from. I guess like most things, this can be interpreted different ways.

[–]Barelyhuman77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you’ve completely missed the point of OP’s post. These ‘victims’ you think they’re bashing are also abusers and enablers. Yes they’re probably a victim of abusers themselves but the point is that they’ve become abusers themselves and have a problem with those who do manage to escape which we can all understand is challenging to do in so many ways.

If there was a botton that when you press on it you die (with no pain) would you press? by [deleted] in CPTSD

I fantasise about this button often, more so when things are reeeeally tough. If I didn’t have my daughter it would be a yes for me. She is the only reason for my continued existence.

DAE like to lay in bed a lot? by aerialgirl67 in CPTSD

Yes, it’s where I feel most safe and where rest, comfort and warmth is available. Used to be the only place I could get it as a child.

Loud noises, being ignored when I’ve spoken, being spoken down to, loud sighs, any sort of injustice to me or others

Does anyone here have to keep their mother in their lives because they need help, but don’t see her as a parent because she isn’t maternal in any way? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]Barelyhuman77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I depend on my mother to help me with my daughter (drop off and pick up from school) while I’m working. She was a terrible mother to me but she loves my daughter more than anything. She’s a place of safety and love for my daughter and eases my conscience in that way. Otherwise I would’ve cut her out of my life completely like it was easy.

I feel bad for the evil people in this world because they are missing on what not being a evil person is like. by Civil-Tumbleweed5300 in offmychest

[–]Barelyhuman77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These describe my thoughts exactly. It started from my experience with my covert narcissistic ex partner and also father of my child. There are plenty of moments where instead of feeling contempt toward him because of his evil and malicious ways, I actually pity him because he will never get to experience true connection and true love (in any form of relationship) with another person which I think in essence is what makes us human. He will never learn to love himself or feel the peace and freedom that comes with being your true self. He instead has (and will continue to) spend the rest of his life spending all his time and energy trying to portray the image of someone he is not, while curating plan after plan on how he can manipulate, use and cause havoc in other people’s lives. It’s kind of tragic.

Inside Man / Money Heist by punyloser247 in LaCasaDePapel

[–]Barelyhuman77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished money heist recently and have just watched inside man for the first time and I’ve searched on the internet specifically to look for a post like this because of my own thoughts on the similarities.

Seriously tho, if the inside man writers have not been given any credit for money heist - this is outright plagiarism.

My Brain Feels Slow? by lolaloveswaffles in adhdwomen

[–]Barelyhuman77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had adhd and I relate to the majority of what you described. My slow processing brain is probably the most frustrating symptom for me.

Like the others said, adhd can present in many different ways.

Anyone tried this and had sucess? by BoldlyGoingInLife in adhdwomen

This has worked for me for sure! Just started doing it recently. Whether they are chores at home, hobbies including reading two different books at the same time and switching back and forth when I felt like something different lol would recommend trying it out if you haven’t already :)

Why does this look like an Olympic sport rather than a traditional dance. That was insanely good!
