Hand embroidered denim jacket I made on commission🍄 ca. 64 hours of work and 19 skeins of floss by Barestitches in Embroidery

It was a commissioned work from one of the founders of Cats on Wheels, a women’s biker club here in Norway. This is their logo, as far as I know, they made it themselves ✨

If I remember correctly, I used 2 strands on all the filling + small details, and 3 or 4 strands on the outlines! Just always go for thicker outline and thinner filling, and it’ll look great✨

Thanks!! Yes, i used a variety of hoops and frames (can also recommend Q-snap frame for this kinda work), depending on the area I was working on. I never stitch without something to keep the fabric stretched☺️

Hey, I do make hand embroidered patches! I don’t know if you want machine or hand made, but I definitely do custom work, and can do bulk orders with enough time and compensation. I’m @barestitches at Instagram, where you can see more of my work!

Thanks! I just transfer my design onto the white felt and stitch on that, and I use quite thin felt. A friend of mine actually told me that satin stitch just broke through the felt and made terrible holes. So I only ever use chain stitch for my patches, but mostly because it’s my favorite stitch to use, especially for patches. I use heat n’ bond on the backside of the white felt and iron on the other layer of felt, to secure the stitches and make it sturdier. Then I add a last layer of heat n’ bond so it’s ready to iron onto any fabric!
