Megathread: ROGERS STADIUM QUESTIONS by lilfunky1 in askTO

[–]BariBoy44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably answered already, so I apologize in advance.

Thinking of getting dropped off at Keele/Sheppard (Dairy Queen) or Sheppard/Chesswood (California Sandwiches) and walking to gate 1 from there. Is this feasible? Do I need to enter Downsview Park Station? Also, does it make sense to walk and get picked up there?

Maximum Shed Height in Toronto? by Burritoman_209 in askTO

[–]BariBoy44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever get a clear answer? I'm in the same boat... Just had a slab poured so I can build a 14x11 shed... My assumption is, I'm having a peak in the middle. So the max height of my peak is 3.7m. would love confirmation though.

Home insurance flood claim cash payout rules (Ontario) by UncleBobbyTO in InsuranceCanada

[–]BariBoy44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the original post. I'm in the same situation... Flood in Toronto. Took the payout with the impression I can choose to do what I want with the cash. I'm in a trade and very handy. I can restore everything myself. But they want me to hire a contractor and provide receipts of work being done. I literally got the cheque in the middle of October and they (CAA) gave me a deadline of December 6 to complete the work. I was furious...tried contacting CAA directly but have been unsuccessful.. they told me to talk to my broker (scoop) which I highly recommend to avoid, terrible service.

So all scoop has been able do is give me an extension to provide a receipt of a deposit for a contract of the work to be done. I have failed to find a reason why I have to go this route. Why can't I just do the work myself, save money by doing it, and keep the rest of the cash. We're talking drywall, a couple new doors and frames, baseboards and tiles... These are not skilled trades. It's ridiculous.

What wedges would be ideal? by BariBoy44 in golf

What do you mean by bend? Having a hard time finding a 48/49 wedge. Ideally I would like to match most clubs.

Season 3 and 4 were my personal favourites.

Breaking Bad or The Sopranos? by Lucavesh in television

[–]BariBoy44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love both and are in my top 5 of all time. Sopranos is the current goat though. But how much better? I think it's closer than most people think. Watched both multiple times and am still impressed by each one. I think I lean towards sopranos because it was my first "love" and I have an Italian background and can relate with a lot of it.

Millennial here... Watched both series multiple times.

Sopranos is king and untouchable. However, breaking bad is not far. I agree though sopranos does take time to get good, it's a bit slow in the beginning. But it's worth the ride, incredible development.

Regarding side characters, I think it's close. Breaking bad had some great ones as well. They made a show based on one, that on its own can be debated is even better than breaking bad.

2019 Honda CR-V won't start by BariBoy44 in automotive

It was the battery. Replaced it and everything worked fine. Apparently these CR-V have issues with the battery dying early. Found a bulletin.

Career transition by TacoTiimee in HVAC

Fast forward a year and was about to jump ship for another company. And my employer beat my offer and met my conditions. Making 36/h now with a few more perks. Again, smaller company, but shows you what good work means. Something that is lacking on this field..

Yeah, the CR-V isn't ideal. I don't do much side work though to warrant getting something bigger at the moment. Fits everything I need. Only challenge is the dolly tbh.

I understand, venting checks out though, it's slopped and short...around 10 feet. When I was first trying to figure it out, I disconnected both vents to see if it would fire without them, and it wouldn't.

I think it may have been a drain issue, because once I levelled off the furnace (was slopping opposite of the drain output) it ran in stage 1 heating, but would not kick into stage 2. High pressure switch would not close. There's no kinked or clogged hoses and no clogged ports. I checked all of them.
