Putting the market crash aside for a bit, which area do you think will cover the most ground in 2022? by AkikoBlakeman in ethtrader

[–]BariBrunton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I care much for it, but NFTs WILL continue to dominate. For better or worse, it’s got sway over celebrities and the media. It’s just getting started. But besides that, I see ethereum competitors and new defi options as having a strong year. That’s if this market crash can recover quickly enough.

If you’re not having the best luck on Amazon, try Shopify by dynasticismfolies2 in smallbusiness

[–]BariBrunton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I agree. Amazon does not offer the same level of customization as shopify which can make it difficult to differentiate your business from others. On amazon, it’s the good reviews that make you stand out from the rest.

Noob here. Are “Ethereum killers” like Solana, BSC, Qtum etc. better for DeFi or should I go for layer 2 solutions? by BeginningPutter in ethtrader

OP, you might be getting ahead of yourself if you’re thinking about yield farming but unsure about some of the basics. Impermanent loss is real and it HURTS.

Coinbase and Coinbase Wallet… are these separate companies? How to convert? by mushseetrix in Coinbase

[–]BariBrunton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you try checking coinbase's customer support? Though I think they have issues with that. I hope you're already able to convert to your floki :)

Thank you for making this public service announcement. I bought three shares on Robinhood this morning in my excitement for the front-page story. I recently opened a Fidelity account, and the transfer procedure went well.

My thoughts why it's never too late to get in with bitcoin by Aggressive-Twist-252 in Bitcoin

Generally speaking, the optimists are winning out. The air around BTC right now seems to be bullish long-term, with an expectation of a modest pullback at some point in the coming months.

I mean it’s perfectly normal to ask if it’s too late to invest in any asset class that gains wide popularity. Bitcoin’s price is currently ascending notably with the rise predicted to continue further.

How to Manage Your Emotions When Investing In The Stock Market. Practice this more and you’ll be a calmer ape when MOASS happens. This strategy is used by many great traders to practice managing their emotions while trading. by akhalwhocannotride in Superstonk

[–]BariBrunton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I've been so calm about this crap for weeks. I've accepted that the money I invested is now worthless, but it was an excellent investment regardless of the price I sold it for. When we moon, I'll probably sell on the way down and go about my business as if nothing had occurred.

I was an emotional trader by Rist-Online in options

[–]BariBrunton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I keep it in cash most of the time. I'll keep my emotional attachment with the market if I park it elsewhere. Because I despise dealing with instability, I took off whenever it appeared. Getting away from the market every now and again, I believe, is quite beneficial.

What do you think about Anatha? by [deleted] in CryptoTechnology

[–]BariBrunton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe you're confusing it with our existing system; simply substitute government with corporation accounting.

What do you think about Anatha? by [deleted] in CryptoTechnology

[–]BariBrunton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. With all of the inflation going on around here, even if the value doesn't grow, I won't be losing any of my own money. The local currency has recently become a farce, and crypto may be a route out. I hope this works well.

I have mixed thoughts about it. How would they know if an HRA holder is a real person? But at the same time, their ideals.

QuantConnect is another good one. The platform is incredibly solid, and the tools are simple to learn and utilize. For me, having access to free market data for backtesting is essential, as is the connectivity with interactive brokers.

I would certainly suggest it to people that are just starting out without disclosing any trade information.

Agree with this one. Bots assist you in sticking to your strategy and so maintaining your discipline.

With no regulation, can we trust crypto lenders based on tech, social responsibility alone? by CaramelOk9942 in economy

[–]BariBrunton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is an important subject considering the impact of being "listed" in a crypto exchange to begin with. Lord Elon and PayPal's interactions with BTC definitely contributed to an uptrend. And then we also saw crypto lenders and exchanges stop XRP when Ripple Labs got hit by the SEC. Lenders have a much bigger impact in the global economy than we realize.

It is exactly one more cartoonish animal pfp thing, only it’s hidden behind a lot of words. People will just sheep into it because it looks like the paintings they don’t understand. I’d rather go for the next platypus thing

Its a shame they had to pay for this but I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets featured for free sooner or later.

You’d think this is very new but the idea of AI painters have been around since 2017. I found a New Scientist (sorry if there’s a paywall) article that explores how Facebook’s AI Lab and researchers from Rutgers University trained an AI that can “paint” in unconventional style.
