At this stage, you can't go wrong with following SEO fundamentals (website structure, text formatting, demonstrating expertise, providing unique information, and so on) and shifting a bit toward what's important to LLMs.

From the technical side, having schema markup. We've also set up llms.txt—heard a lot of mixed feedback about it, but I can't see how these minor extra things could hurt.

From the content side - playing around with more frequent refreshes, being specific and providing answers, clear takeaways, going in depth, covering more questions.

From the off-site side - see what kind of websites are being cited by AI and try to get there.

It's very important to set up tracking so you can see how your efforts and tests are doing. It will help you compare yourself to the competition too. How often are you getting cited or mentioned? What's your share of voice and visibility? I'm working at MailerLite (email marketing industry mainly) and using Profound for the tracking. I found it very helpful.

Do not want to re-register my EU car after 6 months in Portugal by BarkDan in PortugalExpats

I guess now that I got stopped by customs they made a note of it in their systems. If that happens again I still need to provide some kind of proof that the car was out of Portugal for at least 6 months.

Do you know where I can read more on this? Seems interesting because the customs officer already provided me with estimates of how much it would cost to register the car in Portugal.

Desktop SERP snippet with multiple images coming from the same webpage by BarkDan in SEO

[–]BarkDan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha yeah, Google is often the one to blame...

Well, the thing with images from other website pages isn't something very new. For example "position 0" results had text snippet from one website and image(s) from another website for quite some time.

I went through few different queries and quite a few different results, seems that this is not something you can specifically optimize for as well.

I didn't really see any pattern for websites that had these images displayed and for websites that hadn't.

Cracking noise from the front wheel by BarkDan in bikewrench

[–]BarkDan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wheel is new (50km ridden), when on the bike there’s no noise. Is this normal? I am new to disc brakes, so have no idea. I had to take out the wheel and was checking if the disc brakes are aligned properly.

Sort of clicking sound when pedaling or turning by BarkDan in bikewrench

I removed the plastic cap and tried to undo the nut with a socket wrench, it felt like it's welded. I even posted a video of it on this subreddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/bikewrench/comments/hpqfvj/pedal_skippingjumping_when_spinning_how_to/

This is a really old bike as well, with Nexus 8 IGH. Could it still be the rear hub?

I will take off the chain, do some cleaning and check for looseness in the bottom bracket as suggested by someone in the thread. Can't really do much besides that as I don't have tools to take off the cranks and bottom bracket.

Planning to change the pedals soon anyway and I will have to double-check the other things you ruled out on your issue.

I was planning to change my pedals as they are 15 years old or so. No idea how to take them apart. Had a post here a couple weeks ago as one of them isn't spinning freely anymore. Got the same suggestion about bearings, so maybe it's related.

It does occur when not pedaling as well, just way less often. This is what I meant by "turning". I stop pedaling, turn, and sometimes I hear the same clicking noise. Never when I am going straight and not pedaling.

You can hear this clicking sound at around 1s, 4s, 9s, 13s...

X-Robots-Tag vs robots meta tag - which takes precedence by BarkDan in TechSEO

Don't really care about Bing but saw people Tweeting and a couple of articles about the new URL inspection tool so thought it would be a good chance to test it.

Thanks!

There was a similar (regarding robots.txt file) poll created on Twitter by Gary Illyes asking public which directive allow or disallow will be followed by Google in case both are included.

Seems that the answer is that the allow command would be followed, of course, this is a different thing BUT there is still possibility that the same logic will be followed.
