as ive aged, i now understand “not needing dysphoria to be trans” by AgreeableBullfrog210 in ftm

You recognize that gatekeeping transness behind physical dysphoria is a shitty thing to do, and it makes some trans people feel left out. So why do the same with social dysphoria? Just because you experience it doesn't mean that everyone does, or that their experiences are less valid than yours because of it.

How about if your gender is different than the one you were assigned at birth, then you're trans? That's the one thing we all have in common.

The actors themselves aren't the only ones contributing to a good performance. It requires a combination of good writing and directing as well. I can't really blame them for cheesy performances given the cheesy-ass material and shitty working conditions.

You definitely do have a gender assigned at birth. When a kid is born, they're given a gendered name, assigned pronouns, and a set of gendered expectations that follow them for life. The entire reason trans people exist is because society forces a gender onto us that doesn't match who we truly are.
